I enjoyed the rooftop restaurant, the lobster roll is nice, the interiors are gorgeous, the decor is lovely, and the restaurant servers upstairs are friendly. I dont like how the customer service experience overshadows the gorgeous gallery furniture & displays.
Here is where 2 stars came off for me: What I did not enjoy was the gallery 3rd floor experience, the restaurant was on the top fl, was told by staff that there was additional restrooms on 3rd and we should head down to those to avoid the long line. Fine, we reached downstairs, there was a sign the gallery is closed, fine upstairs staff sent us down just for the restrooms, which we went to, as i was waiting in the corner restroom area for the rest of my party, as its only 2 single-person use restrooms, I was approached by a random staffer indicating that the area is closed and was asked if i was sent down from the restaurant. I said yes I just finished my meal and was told there was no wait on the 3rd floor for the restrooms, we are there for the restrooms & leaving, he should communicate with the restaurant staff if its an issue. Then him and two other staff hovered right nearby, when our full party was done and leaving down the elevator, then that staff left and went downstairs as well at the same time.
Unique experience. Next time i visit, if im not too jaded, i will stay on the restaurant level and use the restrooms there even though staff told us that the 3rd level had no lines and we are allowed to go there. I dont care for the hovering, i ask that the different staff on the multiple levels should communicate with each other over headset or however they communicate for clarity no?
Anyways, its another reason if i need any RH linens & furniture, i order online or visit elsewhere, the customer service is ________. You can fill in that blank with whatever word comes to mind.
Never had that gallery experience at the London, Boston, and Montecito locations.
