  Won a storage auction through StorageTreasures, paid my deposit, and was called by the facility and told to come pick up the unit. I drove all the way out there — and 30 minutes later they called back and cancelled. This is the third time this has happened to me on this platform. Complete waste of time and money. Would not recommend bidding on units at this location.

  Eric at Extra Space Storage over in W51st street was outstanding! He was incredibly helpful from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and even walked with me to look at the different storage units so I could choose the one that best fit my needs. He was patient, professional, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. I really appreciated his excellent customer service and would highly recommend working with Eric if you’re looking for storage!

  Constant price increases! And I’m not talking a few dollars, it’s always more than double! Just got a notice that my unit is increasing 133% next month just because. When I was getting a unit with them there was a promotion and I was told I get to keep this price forever, not sure if it was a blatant lie or just untrained employee didn’t know what they were talking about. I’ve had a unit for a little over a year and it’s 4th time they’re doing the increase and they justify it by saying that there is nothing in the contract preventing them from doing so, absolute SCAM. Also this is the first time I actually got a notice instead of getting charged double and having to call them to find out why. With all the $$ they’re ripping from customers you would think the place would at least be clean. A lot of shady people having around that location and they also have moths. There are like 3 other storage places within a couple of blocks, I’m sure they have friendlier policies for their customers, DON’T RENT HERE unless you only need it for 1 month.

  I had a great experience with Extra Space Storage, thanks to Joe. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the entire process. Joe took the time to understand my storage needs and helped me find the best unit for my situation without any pressure. He clearly explained all the options, answered all my questions, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Excellent customer service like this is hard to find. I highly recommend Extra Space Storage and especially Joe if you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about helping customers find the right solution.

  I’ve been struggling to find the right words to describe my experience with Extra Space Storage at 622 W 51st St, New York, NY 10019, because “great customer service” simply doesn’t do it justice. My company moved all of our business to this location after both a senior executive at my organization and I had separate experiences with what was, quite frankly, some of the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered at Manhattan Mini Storage. We needed a solution quickly, and from my very first phone call to Extra Space Storage, I knew this place was different. My initial interactions with Damien and Mya immediately gave me confidence that we had found the right partner. They were professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping us solve our problem. But what has impressed me most is that those first interactions weren’t exceptions, they were examples of the culture that exists throughout this facility. Over time, my interactions with Eric and Jeanette only reinforced that belief. Every member of this team operates with the same level of professionalism, urgency, kindness, and commitment to customer service. In a world where exceptional service has become increasingly rare, this team delivers it consistently. Jeanette, in particular, deserves tremendous recognition. As Property Manager, she has clearly built and cultivated a culture where people don’t simply manage storage units, they take care of customers. That kind of leadership doesn’t happen by accident. It is reflected in every interaction, every follow-up, and every effort the team makes to ensure customers feel valued and supported. For us, Extra Space Storage has become far more than a storage provider. They have become a trusted business partner, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision to bring our business here. To anyone at the corporate level who may be reading this: you have an exceptional team at this location. Jeanette, Eric, Mya, and Damien are the kind of employees who build loyalty, strengthen brands, and keep customers coming back. They deserve every accolade, recognition, and bonus you can give them. Thank you all for restoring my faith that outstanding customer service still exists.
