I had a very disappointing experience at the Lowe’s in Medford, NY on September 27, 2026, at approximately 11:49 AM. I came in regarding paint that had been purchased on September 25 and was dissatisfied with the color. I spoke with James, the Paint Manager, and Casey, the Assistant Store Manager. I explained that Lowe’s published Paint Color Guarantee states that customers who are not completely satisfied with qualifying interior or exterior liquid paint can bring it back in its original container with proof of purchase within 30 days for replacement with comparable paint. Despite this, I was repeatedly told that because my paint had been mixed/tinted, they would not accept it. I asked them to show me where Lowe’s published policy specifically says customer-tinted paint is excluded, but they were unable to show me that language.
What bothered me most was the way the situation was ultimately handled. Casey told us that accepting it was at his discretion, that he would “let it slide” just for today, and gave us what he described as a “final warning.” The return was ultimately processed, and I appreciate that, but I found the interaction unnecessarily confrontational considering I was simply trying to understand and use Lowe’s published policy. If a store has a different restriction regarding mixed/tinted paint, customers should be able to see that restriction clearly in the written policy rather than being made to feel as though they are receiving a special exception or being warned for asking. I hope Lowe’s corporate management clarifies the policy with this location so customers and employees are working from the same information.

I had to leave 1 star but I really want to leave "0-Star".
I made the online order on Sep 7th for a Gas Range and Dishwasher. There were Free delivery, Free haul away, and Free professional installation. I asked for Free Delivery and Free Haul away only.. They supposed to be delivered on 22nd.
On the 22nd, the delivery guy delivered only the gas range. I called Lowes at Medford and asked when my dishwasher will be delivered. They transferred me 4 different locations while I was on the phone. Finally, the customer service told me that they are waiting for the installer to pick up the dishwasher.
I told her I need to know WHEN it will be delivered. She said after the installer pick up the dishwasher. I asked again "WHEN?"
She said "you can also pick up the dishwasher!" I asked how about the haul away?? She told me I didn't sign up for the haul away. ...A few hours later, I got a text from Lowes like " the products were delivered. Please see the attached picture.. " They sent me an appliance picture I didn't even order... What wrong with the workers at this store?????

If I could give zero Stars I would. Today September 5th 2026 at the Medford Lowe's I arrived at the service/returns desk and there was a customer already ahead of me on the line so I stood behind the customer waiting for my turn. At no point did Kacey at the register tell me that I'm on the wrong side of the line because I'm right behind the customer. When she was done with said customer another customer came over from the opposite side I am the closest to her counter she proceeds to loudly say that I'm standing in the wrong side that I need to be mindful next time I come back to stand in the correct side where the other customer is located. There was no reason for her to even say that to me and she said it in a very nasty tone. She could have just taken care of me since I was already at the counter when the first customer was done and the other customer was already standing on the opposite side so I don't know what was Kacey's attitude but it sure wasn't a professional one. If you don't like working on Saturdays and you woke up on the wrong side of the bed may I suggest that you call in sick instead of choosing to come in and be rude to customers. And I think I know what was Kacey's problem. If you don't like the way I look or you're feeling insecure this morning than you need to learn how to work on regulating your emotions.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
