  Kathleen, Blake, and their crew did a fantastic job on our pool and backyard. The marble dusting and paving came out beautiful, and the whole space looks completely transformed. They were always responsive, reliable, and punctual, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

  Avoid LI Marble Dusting – $19K Mistake What started as a great experience with Kathy and Blake turned into a $19,000 nightmare. Within days of completion, I had black stripes above my tile and a dark ring on the waterline that needs scrubbing every few days. Based solely on photos, Blake blamed “runoff” from my 23-year-old patio and coping — even though we’ve never had runoff before — and suggested I brush it with “magic acid." Kathy claimed they’d “never seen this before” and tried to blame light drizzle and my old coping. If rain or 23-year-old coping were truly the cause, why is the problem still happening weeks later — and why did it never occur in the decades before their work? When I pressed her to see the issue in person, she promised to come by. Four weeks later: nothing. Three independent pool and product experts agree the real cause is obvious — they used marble dust above the tile, which is meant to cure under water. Dry application causes poor curing and leaches color. Now I’m stuck spending more money to remove, replace, or seal their defective work. Unprofessional communication, zero accountability, and work that created a problem I never had before. I regret hiring them.

  If you are looking for a quality company to marble dust your gunite pool, I highly recommend Long Island Marble Dusting. We interviewed 5 companies. Two I would not let on my property 2 were just okay, but I found Kathy the owner to be highly knowledgeable, very accessible, and a pleasure to work with. The forman Blake really knows his stuff. He was a real gentleman and informed me step by step with everything he was doing. He came with a crew of 7 who worked extremely hard, knew what they were doing, and left my property spotless. I could tell that Kathy treats her staff very well. I normally do not write reviews, but I felt that this company deserved my time. You will not be disappointed if you hire LIMD.

  Long Island Marble Dusting was a pleasure to work with. Although it took a long time to get on the schedule due to the weather and to the backlog of pools they had to repair, it was worth the wait. All we want as consumers and customers is that the company we are dealing with shows up when they say they will, we get a professional job, where the workmen take pride in their work, are polite and leave your home the way they found it. Long Island Marble Dusting rated 5 stars in all of those categories. Kathy was a pleasure to work with; always returned my calls promptly, and kept us in the loop as far as when the work would be performed. She even coordinated the water delivery tanker to refill the pool, which went off without a hitch. The crew showed up early and were a marvel to watch. Teamwork and attention to detail is critical when you are having this done, and everyone knew their job inside and out, from the artisans to the supervisors Blake and Duffy. I was given specific instructions on post-marble dusting pool care, and the crew couldn't have been nicer. They even came at 6 am when the tide was low in order to finish the job safely and flawlessly. It is so refreshing to work with a company who knows what they are doing. I would not hesitate to recommend LIMD and would use them again without reservation.
