Pettis -as a company- exceeded our expectations so far. We have the pool in and we are waiting for the liner to be dropped. Our salesman - Zach - was instrumental in keeping us informed, explaining the entire process and was very timely in getting back to us with answers to our questions, etc. Deven, Craig and the rest of the team worked very hard on making sure everything by was done both timely and professionally. I would highly recommend Pettis for your inground pool needs. They are a team that is very professional and knowledgeable. Thoroughly satisfied we went with Pettis.

Two months late on pool liner installation service. Not one promise made by Pettis, was kept. “I am sorry about all the delays, you have been incredibly patient. I do stand by the quality of my team’s work” -Krystal I have several photos from the completion of the install that would make me embarrassed to make this claim above. Even better is adding a $985 dollar charge to the service after the fact, to then show it as a discount for the poor service, and bill me the full amount from the original order. This after offering $400 off on the liner which was not the one we ordered, because they fumbled on that as well. Start to finish the worst service from a vendor I have ever experienced.

Devin, Greg, and the team were great to work with. They were transparent with the timeline, prompt with the start of the dig, and all other aspects of the install. They worked through as much rain as possible to avoid delays and the install looks great! The whole process started with Zach who offered a really nice purchase experience, connected us with a variety of landscapers to work with, and made the whole planning experience turn key. No pushy selling and excellent communication with the abundance of questions we had over the weeks/months leading up to the install!

Zack and Edwin did an excellent job fixing the leak at the pool wall connection. The parts that allow filtered water to return to the pool needed to be replaced. Zack, with his prior knowledge of pool repair, took the lead and showed his understanding of what needed to be done. He, also, installed a union on the return line. Zack and Edwin were consistently very pleasant and professional. Zack and Edwin, thank you! Five stars!!!

Dealing with Pettis Pools has been nothing short of a nightmare from the very beginning. Communication has been abysmal. Not only between Pettis and us (the customers), but also apparently within the company itself. The service manager doesn't communicate with the store manager doesn't communicate with the factory doesn't communicate with the technicians. We're given a date, techs don't show up, we reach out to ask what's going on, the service department sends out perfunctory apologies and tell us how patient we've been and no one knows anything and nothing changes. I have multiple chains of emails that follow this exact same pattern. We've constantly had to follow up just to get basic updates. It is so unbelievably unprofessional that I can't fathom how this company is still functioning. Work dates and deadlines aren't even suggestions; they just don't exist. Measurements were supposed to be taken in September. After several no-shows and excuses, a technician finally came out. This job was scheduled to be finished between the middle and end of May. The last week in June, the techs finally began installing the new liner, only to find it wasn't cut properly to accommodate the steps. They told us they'd have to order a properly-cut one from the factory, but “it should only take a week.” Two weeks and no updates later, the service manager comes out to take measurements. Yesterday, July 15th, technicians came out to finish installation of the uncut liner, which they've now decided is acceptable to use if they cut it themselves by hand. Two months of a MAYBE four month pool season (if we're lucky) completely wasted. Not to mention the myriad of plans we have had to cancel in the interim. Every step of the way the post-work cleanup of the pool/patio/backyard area has been bare minimum at best, more typically: nonexistent. The winter cover not put back on as promised when measurements were finished. They've left big swaths of old liner laying on the grass for weeks and open boxes and pieces of equipment littering the patio. While they were in the deep end, screwing on the cap to a closed-off drain that was not actually supposed to be put back (yet another piece of info that was lost in communication), they turned the hose on to begin filling the pool but neglected to remove any of the dead rotting leaves in it before doing so. It is very rare that I will blame the people doing the work, and the cleanup has been the least egregious issue we've dealt with, but for $8k and the delays, this feels like the simplest thing that could have been done to accommodate an already very patient customer. No one, including the owners, are willing to step up and take responsibility in any meaningful way. There's always an excuse, more superficial apologies, more “you've been so patient!”s and then the problems continue unabated. Unfortunately for us, Pettis is the only local company who works with the type of coping our pool has. For the amount of money involved, I expected professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. I have yet to experience anything of the sort. Had I known how bad the experience was going to be, I would have called a company from out of town and paid them mileage to come out and replace our liner. I have genuinely never in my life had a worse experience with a company than I have had with Pettis Pools. I wish this was an exaggeration.
