I had received a text saying that the exterminator would knock when he got here. I never heard a knock and had wanted to talk about a few concerns I have. Unfortunately the next thing I know is I got a text saying he was here and gone. The attached pictures were worthless in terms of showing what had been done. Just pictures of the front, back and sides of my house. Quite disappointing. Guess I’ll have to wait to see if the spiders are gone

I signed up for 1 year. They came the 1st and sprayed around my house everything was great that day. Over 2 months have gone by and nobody has come to spray again. They charged my card again 20 bucks more than the fist time. So I called and asked why nobody came back out. I was told on the phone that I have to call them to have them come back out. The guy on the phone started get confrontational with me. I didn't have to call them to charge me though! They told me the monthly charge is a subscription not for them to spray each month. WHAT is that? A sneaky scam. I told them I wanted to cancel he told me it would be 4 hundred and some dollars. The card I used with them is no longer valid so they won't get any more money out of me. Scammers.

I was sold a bill of goods from a door-to-door salesman. When the tech got here to do the work it was my responsibility to tell him what to do and what services I wanted as opposed to the full list of services that the salesman told me I would get. I've already canceled.

Very sketchy and unprofessional.
I called Aptive Pest Control once to see what services they offered when I found a mouse in my house. They wanted me to sign up for an expensive monthly plan of setting out bait traps, but they do not do any exclusion work to figure out how the mice are getting into my house in the first place. Since this would not actually solve my issue and would amount to me paying Aptive money for perpetuating the problem, I never followed up on the quote and just ignored it.
Then four months later, today, out of nowhere, I start getting notices that I have an appointment scheduled with them at my home address - an appointment I absolutely never scheduled. Very sketchy. So I called and I said (1) I would like the appointment canceled and (2) I would like my account closed and my information removed from their system. The guy canceled my appointment and said I needed to speak to a supervisor about the rest. I wait like 10 minutes and get connected to the supervisor.
I explain the situation to the supervisor and his response, verbatim: "Why are you so upset? Why are you being so aggressive?" Keep in mind, I never raised my voice. I simply stated I wanted my account closed. I'm a woman, so maybe he felt like he could talk down to me and try to police my tone. I laughed and told him I just don't want you guys bothering me anymore.
Then, here's the kicker, he says "You signed a contract with us." I tell him I absolutely never signed a contract, and if he wants to falsely claim I signed a contract, then I will start getting lawyers involved. Then he backtracks and says I was scheduled to receive "complimentary service" rather than paid service. I tell him I don't want *any* service and I want my account closed. He then says the account is showing as closed on his screen but can't provide me any confirmation that my information was removed or my account was closed.
If you need pest control, I called like a dozen places and the only ones that offered actual exclusion work to keep the mouse out of the house were Ehrlich and Critter Control. Everywhere else just wanted to charge you to set up bait traps while allowing rodents to still get into your home.
For anyone considering calling Aptive Pest Control: don't. I wish I had read the reviews about Aptive's aggressive sales tactics and sketchy practices, including doing intrusive door to door solicitation and scheduling appointments without your consent.

Why am I still seeing pests after my first treatment?
If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.
How much does professional pest control cost?
Our professional pest control plans start as low as $49 to $55 per month for our Basic plan, depending on your location. We offer three primary tiers—Basic, Pro, and Premium—designed to fit different levels of protection needs and budgets.
Do you offer same-day pest control services?
Yes, depending on current technician availability. If you call before noon, we can often provide same-day service for urgent pest issues.
How soon can a technician come out for an emergency?
We strive for 24 to 48-hour response times. For emergencies like a yellow jacket nest or indoor roach sightings, we prioritize your call in our daily schedule.
Do you spray both the inside and outside of the house?
Yes, standard service covers both. We focus on the exterior to stop pests at the source and treat the interior (baseboards/under sinks) to eliminate any that have already entered.
What areas are included in a "perimeter" treatment?
A perimeter treatment covers 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out into the yard. We also treat windowsills, door frames, and eaves.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen?
To stop ants, we use "transferable" baits. Workers carry the bait back to the queen, killing the entire colony rather than just the ants you see on the counter.
What is the best treatment for German cockroaches?
German roaches require a combination of baiting, insect growth regulators (IGRs), and sanitation. They are resilient, so 2–3 follow-up visits are often required for total elimination.
Is pest control safe for children and infants?
Yes, we prioritize family-safe applications. By focusing on the exterior and using low-toxicity indoor treatments, we minimize exposure. We recommend keeping children out of treated areas for 30–60 minutes until dry.
What is your "Pest-Free Guarantee"?
Our guarantee means if the pests return between scheduled visits, we return for free. We stay until the problem is solved.
Do you offer free re-treatments?
Yes, all of our recurring plans include unlimited free re-treatments for covered pests.
Why am I still seeing bugs after my first service?
This is the "flush out" period. The treatment is driving pests out of their hiding spots. They will die off shortly after coming into contact with the product.
Why is the pest problem getting worse?
This usually happens with ants and roaches as they are attracted to our baits. This "surge" is a sign that the colony is actively feeding on the treatment.
How can I tell if a treatment was successful?
Success is measured by a steady decrease in sightings and finding dead insects rather than live ones.
Do you guarantee 100% elimination?
We guarantee to control and manage populations to the point where they do not infest your living space. No one can stop every single bug from ever entering, but we ensure they don't stay.
