I have a storage space in the Albany Extra Space Storage facility now. I was looking to downsize my unit. Shazam who was on duty at the time looked through the inventory of spaces and couldn't come up with one. I guess this is a busy time because of school breaks. He was however, able to help me out with my rate to allow me to stay until some units open up. The approval came in just a couple of hours after he put things in motion. Thank Shazam!

I had a good experience renting a unit here! The process was incredibly smooth, and the staff are always nice, helpful and pleasant to engage with. The facility is pretty clean, secure, and they also have carts available to make moving things in and out so much easier. Highly recommend!

Warning This storage has no bathroom. I've been with this storage since 2023. I successfully transferred my 5×10 unit into a 10 ×10 unit since my unit was paid for, I only had to pay for the remaining amount. Which was great and made sense. Even though the new unit has a huge pillar inside as you can view in the picture below. Since I became pregnant I realized I would need more space that the pillar takes up. I paid my unit which was $131 and looked for a better available storage. For a 10×10 with fees the total would be $123. So then I reached out to customer service to see if I can receive a transfer of funds to this new unit, they agreed that after I paid for the new unit that the difference that I paid for my current unit will be refunded since I will be closing that one out. The day after my payment I was on my way to confirm my new unit with manager when the district called and disagreed with customer service that I will not be refunded and I will have to keep my pillar unit for the remaining month. They insisted on canceling my autopay and my move out date which was the next day. The next day I called the manager, customer service and the remote district back on the issue because now I have a empty unit that was demanded I keep. Each of them said that they would look into it and give me a call back with a resolution. It's been a week today with no call back, no resolution with a storage unit that I have to hold until my next payment. I even reached out to the virtual assistant on the site with no reply back. Instead of calling back I decided to create this review with photo documentation. Again I've transferred units before, I'm 7 months pregnant and now under alot of stress thanks to extra storage space management.

Im not usually one who picks indoor vs drive-up storage, but this place had a great discount rate for the 1st 3 months, and still is pretty cheap for me for since. The drive-in garage is helpful, and the whole place is pretty secure. The man at the front desk is super friendly, and I have no complaints about the company itself.
