I placed a large order and was given a delivery date and window so I went ahead and scheduled my crew and made all my plans. Lowe’s then called me the night before and cancelled my delivery date and rescheduled for the following week, 5 days after my crew was scheduled. Totally unreliable.

BUYER BEWARE! When I was preparing my house to sell, my real estate agent felt it would be best to replace the aging carpet. Lowe's had a good price and was a major company, so I hired them on 5/24. I was no longer living there when they installed it on 6/11. Or so I thought. The installer said the job was finished. I went by a few days later and saw lower level rooms had been carpeted. I went by again several days later and saw the stairs to the second floor were not done. My agent went to Lowe's and, after waiting to talk to someone in authority, ended up paying to additional carpet on 7/2. On 7/24, the stairs were finally done, but the installers left scuff marks along a newly painted wall up to 18" above. Not only that, they left the front door unlocked when they left. During all this, I called Lowe's numerous times and tried to get through on their Artificial Idiocy answering system. I also went in three times, waiting until someone would finally talk to me. I was told the price would be adjusted in "reconciliation" after the job was done. After many more calls, I finally talked to someone in their installation department on 8/6. She said they would refund the addition carpet cost, but the scuffs were not covered. Nothing for my aggravation and having to wait an extra two month so put my house on the market with the loss that caused me. At the end of September, the check for the extra carpet charge finally arrived. This is along rant, but I can prove everything I said. Buy at Lowe's if you want, but beware.

Store manager Andrew W. simply doesn’t care about customers anymore. He needs to be replaced right away. He is so overwhelmed that I overheard multiple employees talking about how terrible the experience is working for him. I also had a terrible time ordering a very expensive appliance that not only took several days longer than what it should have, but also it arrived noticeably damaged. It’s time for this Lowe’s to go out of business. Or it’s time for them to get a new store manager who actually cares.

Absolutely horrific customer service. Called the pro desk for special ordering of decking and was hung up on three times. If I treated my clients the way Lowe’s employees treat their customers I would be out of business in less than a year. I don’t understand why management and corporate won’t do something about this problem nationwide. Your employees will never care until there are serious consequences for their actions. From management right down to loaders.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
