The indoor units are climate controlled, but with swamp coolers. Unfortunately that is not that cool, and feels very humid. The humidity makes boxes sometimes feel moist, and if stacked can cause them to crush and fall over, creating an absolute mess in your storage unit. And the cost you sign up for very quickly escalates to quite expensive rates inconsistent with the quality of the environment. We signed up at about $60 a month while relocating to NV, and within 12 months, rates went to $169 a month. One weekend, the fire alarms were going off for hours and hours. We have now moved out but wanted to keep a small unit for other items, and found a place not far that is new without swamp coolers, for less money.
