Came in for some cabinet handles and found 13 out of the 17 I needed. Was sent to a different department because they said there were some back there. Ran into Bob from plumbing who saw I was confused and lent a helping hand. We weren’t able to find them so I thanked him for his time and started heading to the front to pay and accept defeat. However Bob kept looking and found the 4 handles I needed. Made my day:)

This location has declined over the years but the main reason I decided to leave a review is for the Flock mass surveillance cameras. One on every corner of the lot. Diminishing privacy and mass surveillance do not make us more safe.

I had a very disappointing experience with an appliance associate, Karmina, at the Los Lunas Lowe’s.
I came in looking for guidance while shopping for a new refrigerator. I was comparing brands, asking for recommendations, and trying to understand whether my Lowe’s credit card 20% discount would apply. Instead of being helpful, she told me, “No, you probably have to spend more.” I ended up purchasing the refrigerator online anyway, and the 20% discount applied without any issues.
I also asked whether customers generally preferred Frigidaire or Midea refrigerators. She immediately recommended Frigidaire. When I explained that my current Frigidaire was the refrigerator that had just failed, she responded, “I’m not going to convince you to buy something you already have your heart set on you don’t want.” I wasn’t asking to be convinced—I was asking for recommendations from someone whose job is to help customers make informed decisions.
At one point, my husband and I were discussing whether we wanted to pay the $80 haul-away fee or use PNM’s refrigerator recycling program. While we were having that conversation, she said, “I’ll just be here sipping my water.” The comment came across as dismissive and impatient.
Throughout the interaction, Karmina seemed short, uninterested, and annoyed by simple questions, despite not being busy. I work in retail sales myself, and I understand that customers making major purchases often have a lot of questions. When associates are selling appliances that cost well over $1,000, the level of customer service should reflect the significance of that purchase. Customers deserve patience, product knowledge, and professionalism—not the feeling that they’re inconveniencing the associate by asking for help.
Despite the experience, I still chose to purchase my refrigerator from Lowe’s by placing the order online. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as a coaching opportunity so future customers receive the level of service they should expect when making such an important purchase.
