Aptive came to my home outside of normal business hours and aggressively pressured me to sign up for their pest-control service. I felt rushed into making a decision at my own front door without being given enough time to carefully review the agreement. I eventually agreed to the service and used it for about three months. During that time, the technician appeared to spend only around 10 minutes at my property, yet I was still charged for the full service. The service felt rushed and did not seem worth what I was paying. When I tried to cancel, I was told I would have to pay a $199 cancellation fee. This was extremely frustrating and made me feel trapped in an agreement I never fully understood when I signed it. In my opinion, Aptive is one of the worst companies to deal with. I felt pressured into signing up, disappointed by the service, and frustrated by the cancellation process. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in the company. My advice: do not sign anything at the door. Read every part of the agreement carefully, especially the cancellation policy and any fees. Take your time, ask questions, and do not let anyone pressure you into making an immediate decision. I’m sharing my experience to warn other homeowners: be very careful with Aptive Pest Control and make sure you fully understand what you’re agreeing to before signing.
