The young lady who assisted me at check in was extremely courteous helpful and willing to walk me through the whole experience. The on line experience was not as straightforward as it could have been. Not user friendly.

My first time with Extra Space Storage at Totowa was great. Karina was amazing helping me find the perfect storage space for my furniture. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very kind throughout the entire process. She explained all the promotions available and helped me choose the best option for my needs, while also showing me upgraded spaces without any pressure. Her customer service was excellent, and she made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Highly recommend working with Karina!

This Extra Space Storage facility is full of liars. When I initially went to view a unit to see the size in person I specifically asked about when rates would be raised based on past reviews. The manager told me she likes to call people beforehand to let them know their rates will be raised and if they would like to pay in advance to avoid the extra fees. I received a notice in the mail and when I went on to my account to pay for 6 months in advance the rate was doubled so I received 0 days notice. The unit I had for 2 months at $80 was now $160. I called the facility and she said she would put in to get it back down to $82 plus taxes and fees and would give me a call back to get a payment. 8 days later I had to call her because again she did not follow through with what she said about even calling me back. She then said it was only approved to $133. I explained that it doesn’t make sense that someone can come in and get the same unit for less. She then proceeded to lie more that the unit for someone new is $166 to which I called her out that online it shows way less. She pretended to check and said it’s $128 plus taxes and fees. She proceeded to tell me lies on price to compare to what she was offering me when I can see the price online myself. They also claim to clean the unit but the floor is dirty. My white couches are stained with some dark liquid on the floor of my unit. They also do not have enough rolling carts to help move items. People will take all 4 that are available and then I have to stand around waiting for them to finish. For such a big facility there should be more than 4 carts.
