  Executed a 5 year contract with Heim Electronics several years ago and they were a good small business and I was happy to support. The BSafe/PyeBarker takeover ruined all of that. As a professional property manager in the area I am dismayed by the lack of service and relationship this entity has. First it started with invoices. I would receive past due notices but did not receive any invoices. It took months to sort out in which PyeBarker kept insisting "we emailed it to you and we would confirm the email address" but month after month, no invoice, just past due notices. One day I was very upset when I called - there were some extra key strokes and the customer service person told me "you should have been receiving them this entire time but I put in an extra layer of confirmation to ensure you get them.". I can not tell you what an extra layer of confirmation is, but after that I received invoices. Then a property I managed was sold so the contract needed to be transferred to the new buyer. There is a portion of the contract I signed with Heim which reads "Section K: Both HEIM ELECTRONICS and the Customer are bound by this Agreement, along with their respective successors, assigns, heirs and executors.'. However, this is what PyeBarker told me when I asked them to honor the contract and transfer it to the buyer of the property: "Unfortunately, we do not assume agreements from one customer to another. However, them signing a new agreement would replace the remaining term of your existing agreement.". When I asked about Section K, I received no response. Which, by the way, the new contract was absolutely ridiculous. Thousands of dollars in charges for equipment already on site and operating. And they more than doubled the monthly monitoring service charges. I normally would not go out of my way, take time from my busy business day, to complain about some company but I am not the only upset customer. When they were Heim I recommended them to a trusted colleague. I have spoke with that colleague who has said the transfer to Bsafe/PyeBarker has been a terrible experience. So I leave you with BEWARE. There are many fire alarm companies. Do your research. Yes, reviews are generally for the complainers but ask around - consult with your business neighbors and colleagues regarding who they use and what their experience has been.

  Have been a customer of Ocean Security for years with no issues with our alarm system. From the minute B-Safe has taken over we started to have nothing but issues with the system as well as bill payments. Now have an alarm system in our house that is useless and have called several times and keep getting the run around of being told they will get back to be and try to figure out how to resolve the issue.

  The company does not have an ethics or morals they prey on people not checking up on their pricing ...they are trying to charge me over twice what the product cost for me to purchase and then threaten me a restocking fee of a hundred dollars on a 160.00 dollar camera which they are trying to charge 350.00 for

  We have been using Ocean Security service for our hotel for over 20 years. They respond to service calls quickly. Their prices are all always fair. They do annual inspections of all our fire and burglar alarm systems. Also they monitor all our alarms 24 hours a day. I also use Ocean Security for my home security systems. And since they did the installation, I have never had to make a service call. The service staff are pleasant, personable and extremely knowledgeable. And its nice to see the same service staff for over 20 years as well.
