Had a great time working with Ryan and his team. They helped us with hardscaping by putting in a stone patio and stepping stones to replace a “pit” and old landscaping left by an above ground pool. They helped demo the area, remove old rocks and railroad ties. They also worked with me to break up the project into phases. I can’t wait to do part two with the actual landscaping around it!

We recently had our walkway and garden completely overhauled by Ryan's and they did a phenomenal job! Both the brick crew and gardening crew were polite, and worked extremely hard. We receive daily compliments from neighbors and people driving by saying how good it looks. We would highly recommend them!

Ryan and his team did an amazing job removing all our old overgrowth and redesigning our front garden! He was very responsive to all my texts, pricing was reasonable and came through on a short schedule. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and highly recommend!

WOW — in one word, that sums up the job Ryan and his team did.
This was a big dream project for us. Ryan's Green Thumb Landscaping handled beautiful hardscaping, removed an old cement pad, regraded the yard, and added fresh sod and mulch. We actually left for vacation just before they wrapped up, and came home to our own little paradise.
From the very beginning, it was clear Ryan knew what he was doing. When we first talked through the project, he listened closely and made great suggestions — and he wasn't afraid to steer us away from decisions we might have regretted later. He was never pushy about it. He communicated in a way that just made you trust his recommendations.
His crews were fantastic too: hardworking, great communicators, and wonderful with my kids (the self-appointed "supervisors").
I'd highly recommend Ryan and his team, and we'll likely have them back for our front and side yard projects down the road. The pictures speak for themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ryan's Green Thumb Landscaping
How does the landscape design process work?
Our process begins with an on-site consultation where we provide a design and estimate. We bring a variety of plants, shrubs, and flowers to your location, allowing us to create a real-time design that helps you visualize the final result. For more information about our design process, please contact Ryan's Green Thumb Landscaping.
How can I make sure my plants are doing well?
Unless you're enrolled in our maintenance program, it's the homeowner's responsibility to care for their landscape. This includes regular watering and fertilizing of grass, shrubs, and flowers. These are tasks that our professional team typically handles for clients in our maintenance program.
Why is mulch important?
Mulch is crucial for the health of trees and shrubs. It helps control weeds, maintains soil moisture, and prevents soil compaction. It also protects roots from lawn mower damage. According to experts, it's recommended to apply a 2 to 3-inch layer of mulch around plants, keeping it away from tree trunks and stems to prevent rot and allow for proper air circulation.
How often should I mow my lawn?
For a consistently well-manicured appearance, we suggest mowing your lawn on a weekly basis. This frequency helps maintain your lawn's aesthetic appeal. If you have additional questions about lawn care, please contact our team at Ryan's Green Thumb Landscaping.
How long does it take to install a new landscaping project?
The duration of a landscaping installation can vary significantly depending on the project's scope and the property's size. For a more accurate estimate based on your specific project, we recommend contacting our team to discuss the details further.
What plants and flowers do best year-round?
For year-round beauty and reliability, our team often recommends perennial plants. These plants offer the benefits of long-lasting beauty, low maintenance requirements, and consistent growth year after year.
How do I prevent crabgrass on my lawn?
We offer specialized weed control solutions to prevent crabgrass growth. In the event that crabgrass appears despite preventive measures, our team will return to provide additional lawn care services to address the issue.
What's the difference between installing sod and seeding my lawn to grow my grass?
Based on our experience, seeding typically requires several weeks to establish and can be more expensive in the long run. In contrast, sod installation provides immediate results and instant curb appeal, which is why it's often our recommended option for customers seeking a quick transformation.
Do you offer seasonal services?
Yes, we provide commercial snow removal services during the winter months. Our experienced team understands how to maintain your property's safety and accessibility throughout the winter season, ensuring professional maintenance year-round.
What months do I need to get my lawn cut throughout the year?
Our professional recommendation is to maintain regular lawn cutting services from April through October. This schedule helps ensure your lawn remains healthy and well-maintained throughout the growing season.
