I first met Joe a few years ago when I purchased my couch from one of the Raymour & Flanigan outlets where he was working at the time. He took the time to listen to exactly what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect couch. Since then, Raymour & Flanigan has become my go to whenever I need something new for my home, and I always make a point to look for Joe. It’s been great to see him grow into a management role, and what stands out most is that he still takes the same time and care with his customers that he did years ago. Joe is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and never makes you feel rushed or pressured. He genuinely wants to help you find the right piece rather than just make a sale. He’s a great example of what customer service and leadership should look like. I’ll definitely continue coming back!

It's an extremely rare choice for me to leave a review about a business, an employee or anything else. But after going to the Raymour and Flanigan store in Paramus, NJ on Route 17 North and being helped by Christine, I honestly had to write a review about my experience while I was there. From the moment I walked through the door until I left I was welcomed and treated with respect and care the entire time. Christine was my Sales Agent and explained the differences between any item I was looking for as well as giving me multiple items to choose from. There was no judgment on any of my requirements nor was I looked down upon for my appearance as I had gone there after working all day and covered in dirt. I strongly recommend this Raymour and Flanigan location to anyone interested in going. I know you will enjoy your shopping experience and the care you are given by the employees. I will go back for any shopping needs in the future.

Very Disappointed After Years of Being Loyal Customers We have been loyal Raymour & Flanigan customers for years and have always appreciated the quality of the furniture and, in the past, the customer service. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing and has completely changed how we view the company. The only people who showed professionalism throughout this entire situation were the delivery crew. They were polite, respectful, and simply doing their jobs. We had an issue with our dining room chairs, which were covered under our protection plan. After multiple follow-ups, we were told the dining set had been discontinued and that we would receive a credit for it. We spent several days looking for a replacement but couldn't find anything we liked. We then asked whether the credit could be applied toward other furniture. We spoke with our sales representative and a manager, and we were repeatedly told that this was fine. Based on that information, we purchased several additional pieces of furniture well above the value of the credit. Before finalizing everything, we specifically asked our sales representative again about the credit, and he confirmed with a manager that everything was fine. Then delivery day came. The delivery crew arrived, handled everything quickly and professionally, and then told us they had instructions to remove our dining room set because the credit was actually an exchange. This was the first time anyone had clearly explained that to us. When I questioned what was happening, the delivery crew tried to contact the people in charge. Unfortunately, the response from management was rude and dismissive. I was eventually told that I had to surrender the dining set or return the couch. I repeatedly explained that I was willing to find a reasonable solution, but instead of listening, the conversation became confrontational, including yelling at both me and the delivery crew. I was eventually told to come to the store to resolve the issue. When I arrived, the same lack of professionalism continued. I tried explaining that if the policy had simply been explained to us from the beginning, we would have understood and made an informed decision. Instead, we were repeatedly reassured that using the credit toward other furniture was acceptable, and we made a significant purchase based on that information. At that point, I became so frustrated that I said I would simply pay for the furniture rather than continue arguing but even that became unnecessarily difficult. After years of being loyal customers, it is extremely disappointing to leave a furniture store feeling like you were taken advantage of rather than helped. Policies are understandable, but customers should be clearly informed about them especially before making a major purchase. Raymour & Flanigan, we expected better. The delivery team deserves recognition for their professionalism, but the management, sales rep and customer service experience needs serious attention. I hope someone from corporate takes the time to review what happened and reaches out to understand why a long time customer was treated this way.

Michael. Saying his name should be enough, but in case it’s not… He was so helpful from the moment we walked in. Literally. Like seconds into walking in he was there. Gave us a layout of the store helped us understand what we were looking for and how he could help. As we walked around exploring the different options, Michael would pop up every so often to check in with us and see if there was anything we needed, wanted, or if he could answer any questions. When we told him it was between 2 sets he gave us his honest opinions and gave us ideas like mapping out the layout of our new place, or how a certain set might be better because we could make more space. We left and told him that we would be back the next day after we made a final decision. We came back next day and Michael got everything done and ready and we’re getting our new couch on Monday! Thankful that we didn’t have to do anything alone.

I had a very disappointing experience with Raymour & Flanigan, particularly because of how the situation was handled by management. When I placed my order in the store, I was very clear with the salesperson that I wanted the shipping fee waived. He told me he would speak with the manager. I then spoke with the manager downstairs, who told me they could waive the shipping fee and treat the order similarly to a mattress order, since mattresses qualify for free shipping. Unfortunately, I did not carefully review the final bill before leaving, which was my mistake. When I got home, I realized that I had been charged the shipping fee despite being specifically told it would be waived. I called customer service and was told someone from the showroom would call me back. No one did. I called again, explained the entire situation, and the representative told me she would escalate it to the manager. About 30 minutes later, I received a call from someone identifying himself as the manager. Instead of trying to understand or resolve the issue, he was extremely rude and raised his voice at me. He insisted that they would never waive shipping for anyone and essentially told me, “You can call headquarters and complain, I don’t care.” The shipping charge itself is not what bothered me the most. The real issue is being promised one thing at the time of purchase and then being treated so disrespectfully when I questioned the charge. This was completely unacceptable customer service, especially from someone identifying himself as a manager. After this experience, I will not be doing business with Raymour & Flanigan again.
