Working with Lowe’s was truly a displeasure. We needed to buy carpet for a project involving our sun porch. All three times that we had to go into the store we were met with long wait times at the carpet area before an employee ever showed up.
Matt is the only reason we were even moderately okay with this purchase in the end.
First, we were told that they wouldn’t install it because our sunporch didn’t have a “heating element.” We decided to deal with that and had the carpet ordered to the specs requested and the order showed up uncut.
The carpet arrived without being cut to size, so my husband had to figure out how to cut it. Because it wasn’t cut properly, we had to then order MORE carpet which ended up in a delay because they don’t carry that kind in the store (never mentioned this) and had to wait two weeks for that to arrive.
Today we went to pick it up and still no one at the counter. Another man standing there had already been waiting 15 minutes when I got there and then 15 minutes later I went and hunted for an employee to help us.
When I called Millville to check on the status of the delay, a girl picked up, told me to hold on and then after 20 minutes on hold, I finally hung up.
They don’t seem to have enough staff at this location and can’t get orders correct. We won’t be back for carpet, that’s for sure.

I’ve been a loyal Lowe’s customer for years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I purchased a John Deere riding mower on Tuesday as a Father’s Day gift, with delivery scheduled for today. No one contacted me until the morning of delivery to say it couldn’t be delivered because it needed assembly — something that was clearly marked on the order.
I was told assembly only happens one day a week, which makes no sense for a major retailer selling large equipment people often need immediately. Waiting seven days for a $3,000+ purchase is unacceptable, especially when the delay was caused by poor communication and lack of attention to the order details.
To make matters worse, the store had the wrong phone number on my account even though I updated it last month during another purchase. My plans for the day were built around this delivery, and the last‑minute notice was incredibly frustrating.
This is not the level of customer service I’ve come to expect from Lowe’s, and it has definitely made me reconsider where I shop for major purchases.

Huge shout out to Diyebar the nice male employee who greeted me when I walked in. He immediately handed me a cart he had dried when I grabbed a wet one [it's raining] he was SO kind. When I walked to my car he was across the lot rounding up more carts to bring in. When he saw me rolling a huge 5 gal jug he ran over and picked it up and put it in my car and again wished me a good afternoon. Whatever Lowe's is paying him pay him more. Im going to sound ANCIENT but there's hardly ANY employees anywhere that so much as look your way when you speak to them, much less go anywhere near above and beyond. The only place around here that rivals his energy are the employees at the new jersey Mike's lol. Anyway shutout to Diyenbar he is so kind!! [Sorry if im not spelling his name correctly]
