UPDATE: After posting my original review, I received a call from Dave P., the manager, and I feel it is equally important to recognize how exceptionally well he handled the situation. My original experience with the technician, Mike, was genuinely poor and I will not reiterate the below. However, Dave’s response was truly top-class. Before calling me, he had already spoken with Mike about what occurred. More importantly, Dave did not call merely to defend the company or rush through an apology he genuinely wanted to hear me out. He was empathetic, professional, and very deliberate about listening to and addressing every point I raised. He apologized on behalf of his employee and issued a full refund of the diagnostic charge. A manager’s response when something goes wrong says a great deal about a business. The original service visit was still unacceptable, and I cannot overlook that entirely. However, Dave took complete ownership of the situation and handled the resolution as well as I could reasonably have hoped. His response restored a significant amount of my confidence in the company, and I sincerely appreciate the way he addressed my concerns. Original review: Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with All American Appliance Service. I was given an 8–11 a.m. appointment window. The technician, Mike, arrived around 8:45 without any call or text beforehand. He was within the scheduled window, but some notice would have been helpful because, like most people, I still had to work during that three-hour period. I showed him the dryer and explained that I had previously repaired it myself and that it had worked for about a month before the HE error returned. I also clearly told him that I had a meeting from 9–9:30 and would be unavailable during that time. If he needed anything, he could speak with my wife upstairs. At approximately 9:15, Mike came into my office calling my name while I was visibly on the meeting. When I could not respond, he waited there for several minutes and then went upstairs. His manner toward my wife was unnecessarily aggressive, rude and unkind, in front of our children. I finished my meeting early and came upstairs around 9:22. Mike told me that the motor’s centrifugal switch had failed. When I calmly asked how he reached that conclusion and how the failed switch related to the HE error, he became more confrontational and responded, “I don’t have time to teach you how it works.” I explained that I was not asking for a lesson, I simply wanted to understand what he tested and how he confirmed the diagnosis before considering an expensive motor replacement. He refused to explain further and aggressively demanded payment. I paid the diagnostic charge, and he left. I then called the office, explained everything to the receptionist and asked to speak with a manager. She took detailed notes and said a manager would call me back. That was Wednesday, and no one ever followed up. A customer should be able to ask how a diagnosis was reached without being spoken to disrespectfully, especially inside their own home and in front of their spouse and children. I am also left uncertain whether the centrifugal switch was actually tested and whether it was truly responsible for the HE error. Between the technician’s conduct, the refusal to explain the diagnosis and management’s failure to return my call, this was a horrible experience.

Highly recommend! After many years with PSEG worry free not being able to fix any of my appliances I made the switch over to All American to repair my Thermador professional series range and Miele dishwasher. Dave was knowledgable, honest and forthcoming throughout the whole process of deciding whether to repair or replace. He spent a ton of time basically rebuilding my range saving me literal thousands of dollars for a replacement.

We had a great experience with All American! Dave and Rob each helped us with different appliances including a sub-zero fridge, oven, stove and dish washer. They were honest in pricing and did a complete, quality job. Will definitely be using them again when needed!
