We were happy with our visit to Blinds to Go today. The service was quick and we ordered exactly what we wanted and came for. Our sales person, Emilin, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We have always been happy with the quality products from blinds to go. We have used them for 3 different homes. The people who measure and install have always been nice and done a good job.
I recently visited the Blinds to Go showroom in Lakewood, NJ, and had the absolute pleasure of working with design consultant Vincenzo Ballaccomo. My husband and I had a lovely experience shopping at Blinds To Go in Lakewood. Vinny was very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant. He paid attention to our concerns with our present shades and he showed all the possible options available in the showroom. We would definitely recommend this store to our friends.

patient and dedicated to provide great service and it was just a pleasure to make business…. the order as I was told suppose to be taking 3 weeks or so, which was totally fine… but received a message a week later that it is ready to be picked up… nice surprise! upon coming to the store to pick it up, Vinny assist me and again, great experience as always! its just good to be back and do business when they provide such a nice experience and are froendly, there to help, answer questions and just be ready to assist! Joy waved from back of the store while was exiting, and I know- I will be back! quality products, nicely done, great selection… sometimes some nice sales going on in the store… wonderful! thanks to all at Lakewood’s store for being such great team and always welcoming:)
I felt compelled to write this to warn others. I am incredibly disappointed with the quality of work and the complete lack of accountability from this company. I spent thousands of dollars for window treatments and am shocked at the lack of professionalism I experienced in all areas.
First, despite providing his contact info and encouraging me to reach out with questions, the sales manager, Mike, went completely silent immediately after closing the sale. He never responded to any of my follow-up questions regarding my order - a major red flag right from the start.
When it came time for the installation, it was incredibly sloppy. On one of my windows, the installer left massive gaps on either side between the mount and the wall, leaving the screws completely visible. When I pointed this out, the installer actually tried to gaslight me, claiming "that's just the way it should be, I've done thousands of these." It wasn't until I pointed out that the 4 windows upstairs (also installed by them) looked nothing like this that he finally admitted it was a "measurement issue." They remade the kitchen blind entirely.
The worst part of the job, however, is the sliding door. The initial install was so poor that the shade didn't even have shims and was visibly leaning and sagging downward. They came back out to install shims after I flagged it, but completely ignored the underlying structural issue: they lazily screwed this heavy fixture directly into the top decorative trim instead of anchoring it into the wall studs.
Because of the weight and daily tension of operating a 114" shade, the molding is now literally prying away from the wall, leaving a massive gap where you can see the exposed screws. When I sent photos of the issue, the installation manager (Don Germaine) repeatedly brushed me off, making the absurd excuse that "the structure was already like that." Even if the trim WAS loose prior to the installation, any competent, professional installer would have flagged that issue immediately rather than negligently anchoring a massive, heavy fixture to a cosmetic surface!
To insult me further, Don actually tried to defend the work by telling me the installer was their "best guy." If their "best guy" installs treatments with visible gaps and hardware, and doesn't think to install shims on a huge 114" shade to level the weight, then their company standards are terrifyingly low.
Don made it clear he had no intentions of offering a solution when he immediately referred me to customer service after seeing the photos. He couldn't be bothered to even offer a manager visit my home to look at it. Customer service was just as bad. They initially offered an insulting $75 refund, which was then bumped to $100, but it has yet to be received. No refund, no manager site visit, and no solution to their carelessness and awful practices. I would have greatly appreciated a manager to come over and address the issue. I requested exactly this from Donald and was denied.
Not once did I receive an apology for this awful experience. Avoid this company at all costs! Their installers cut corners, their managers gaslight you to protect their bottom line, and their customer service team breaks promises!
