To show you what a disreputable and underhanded company they are, on the bottom of the notice it states that if the increase is not notified 30 days in advance, it won’t take affect until the following month.
To show you what level of scumbags they are, the notice arrived at my home nine days after the date on the notice. They don’t go by the date of when you received the notice, they go by the date that they put on the top of the notice. Which means they could’ve printed those notices in March and sent them out whenever they want it.
The good thing is that the United States Postal Service has an app and it shows you what mail is arriving on what date.
That notice that is dated May 22, 2026 arrived yesterday May 30. Logically you would assume that your effective raise date would be from when you were not notified not from when they printed or mailed the notices. Because if that notice gets lost in the mail, you don’t know that you’re getting an increase.
On top of that there is no reason to raise someone’s rent 100%. Unbelievable scumbag move by this place. I can understand a $20 or $30 increase but $100 where they do nothing except provide space. You are forced to buy their insurance or carry your own insurance, which means they don’t even have to worry about covering cost of anything if it gets damaged or stolen.
They don’t unload my truck when I get there. They don’t walk in and grab my cart for me, they don’t load the cart for me, they don’t walk the cart to the elevator and go down to the basement, they don’t unload the cart into my unit, they don’t load the cart back up onto the elevator and return it to the cart holding area. They do nothing at all and are raising rents 100%.
