  We love what Joan and her entire team did in our home! We worked with Joan on our living room and dining room. Her team immediately came up with ideas we were excited to explore, including doing a built-in in our narrow dining room to maximize the space. We wanted the space to fit our extended family for holidays and get together, be put together but not formal, and be a place to have dinner daily if we wanted. They delivered beyond what we had hoped. The project was finished right before Covid, and it was a magical place for our family to gather daily for meals—we never thought we would appreciate a room more than we have this one. Not far behind is our living room—a place we enjoy daily. It is beautiful, functional, and inviting. Exactly what we wanted for our two young boys and us. We highly recommend Joan and her team!

  Bottom Line: J. Patryce Design is a first-class home interior design firm. We are so happy with our newly-designed and renovated home and we could not have done it without Joan and her wonderful team. Joan is a wonderful designer, an expert in every aspect of the design and renovation process and a truly collaborative partner. We are so happy with our home – what a transformation! We are so thankful to Joan, Amanda and the entire J. Patryce Design team. They are simply the best and we highly-recommend them. Wonderful Designers. First of all, we really loved Joan’s design style which we evaluated from her portfolio of work and conversations with her. Her “aesthetic” was for us the right combinations of style, form and function. Thoughtful Advisors. We had a lot to learn throughout the design and renovation process, from the activities and sequencing, realistic schedule and budget to choosing the right general contractor. Joan and Amanda were great teachers and consultants on the process. As first-class designers, they also have first-class (and sometimes expensive) tastes in materials, appliances and décor. High-quality is certainly one of Joan’s design principles. Having said that, Joan listened to and understood our preferences, priorities and ultimately budget and created a design that achieved our vision for beauty, form and function while being budget conscious. She and Amanda brought options, discussed pros/cons and the costs transparently and provided thoughtful recommendations. Quite honestly, by the middle of the renovation we had such a trust in their design prowess and how they understood our needs and preferences, in 99% of the design choices/changes we defaulted to Joan’s recommendation. She got it right every time. Collaborative and Trusted Partner. J. Patryce Design is a small team. And for us, that was a plus – we knew that we would be working directly with Joan and Amanda throughout the project. As we would learn during the process, some of the most valuable support that Joan and Amanda provided were their ownership and accountability throughout the renovation and how they collaborated and solved problems with our general contractor, foreman and other team members. To be totally fair, we also had a GREAT general contractor and foreman. However, Joan and Amanda really allowed us to focus on our day jobs; we never had to worry about coordinating between design and contractor teams, cabinet/countertop/everything deliveries, back-and-forth about measurements/plans/fixture placements. J. Patryce Design took so much stress out of our lives by partnering so well with our contractors and solving any and all problems collaboratively and proactively. We appreciated all of this so much. With our entire renovation team, we had so much trust that stuff was just getting done in the right way. Even with things on the final punch list, they worked with subcontractors and vendors to get stuff fixed without question.

  We purchased a condo that was designed by Joan. Joan's design aesthetic is modern, clean and chic. As a result of Joan's designs and selections, we have a beautiful condo that we love. Joan is wonderful to work with and is very collaborative. Joan takes pride in her work and she goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with the result. I highly recommend Joan!
