I'm giving two stars because our salesperson, Barb, was fantastic. However, the delivery and customer service departments of Raymour & Flanigan were both awful to deal with and for these reasons we will not be shopping there again.
First, our order included 3 deliveries. The first arrived ok. The second delivery, the drivers went to the wrong address. They called us and insisted they weren't. About 20 minutes passed before they cancelled the delivery. As they were driving away, they passed my house, where I had been standing outside waiting for them. I waved to them and they waved back...then kept driving. It was a weird experience, but whatever, people will always find creative ways to run out the clock.
Our real issue was the third delivery, a bed with an underbed storage piece. The guys who set it up were friendly but they didn't read the instructions. The bed was built incorrectly and the underbed storage didn't fit. We had the unit re-delivered twice, each time by a different delivery team, each team saying it couldn't fit. It was only after talking with Barb again that we realized the bed wasn't built correctly.
The final time it was supposed to be set up, we let the team know the bed had to be disassembled. They insisted that it was the wrong size and that the bed didn't need disassembly without even trying to understand the issue.
Finally, we asked for the underbed unit without installation, so that we could fix the bed ourselves. Sure enough, it fit. In the process we discovered the original team not only didn't assemble the bed correctly, they screwed the slats in too tightly. The screws were stripped to the point that we needed pliers to remove them, and some of the slats were splitting. Absolutely unacceptable for a brand new bed. My fiance asked Barb about getting new slats, and she had someone call us.
I believe the customer service rep was named Linda or Lisa, but admittedly I'm terrible with names so I may have that wrong. When my fiance asked about new slats, her answer was that they could be ordered for a charge. "You're charging me for a piece your delivery guys broke?" "Yes, because we could have sent a technician out to fix the bed." Except, they did. Three times. All three times they said they couldn't do it, so we had to do it ourselves.
And then that was that. We're left with a broken bed that we have to rebuild a piece for ourselves, because there's no way we're spending any more money here.
Buyer beware...and be prepared to set up your furniture yourself.
