This morning, Sunday, June 28, at approximately 7:00–8:00 a.m., my fiancé visited your store to purchase a pressure washer. As you know, these items are kept in a locked cage and require a Lowe’s employee to unlock them before they can even be purchased. He paid for the pressure washer, received his receipt, and left the store.
As he was walking out, a Lowe’s employee ran after him and accused him of stealing the pressure washer. My fiancé immediately showed his receipt, proving that he had paid for the item. The accusation was completely unfounded and extremely humiliating.
What makes this situation even more concerning is that your employees know these pressure washers are locked up and cannot simply be taken off the shelf. They require employee assistance before purchase, making this accusation even more surprising.
This experience left us feeling that my fiancé was unfairly targeted. As a Hispanic man with tattoos, the interaction made us question whether assumptions were made based on his appearance rather than the facts. Whether intentional or not, no customer should be made to feel embarrassed or publicly accused of theft without first verifying the purchase.
We are requesting that Lowe’s management thoroughly investigate this incident by reviewing surveillance footage from Sunday, June 28, between approximately 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., and by speaking with the employee involved. We also ask that additional training be provided on how to properly verify purchases before accusing customers of stealing. Situations like this can be deeply upsetting, damaging to a customer’s dignity, and harmful to the trust customers place in your store.
We hope Lowe’s takes this complaint seriously and implements measures to ensure that no other customer experiences this type of treatment.

The old people that work there avoid in asking them for any help over the phone and in person. They are there to just clock in their hours to retire soon and dont want to help, in terms that they will leave you hanging when you are explaining to them what you're looking for and they grab anything closely related to just send you away.
Terrible customer service, they should not be working there if they don't want to be genuine about working there in the first place to help customers.
That's the kind of people you hire? Well absolutely horrible, you should do a better job when screening candidates and hiring them.

This company scratched up our floors delivering a stove and refrigerator a few years ago, then did nothing about it. I just thought of that all this time later when my mother was telling me she had to have them deliver THREE fridges because the first two were dented. Don't have them deliver anything to your house

Went to nashua lowes and they had all the tool benches on the floor one being a Pink kobolt work bench i spoke to RICH and asked if he would take any money off because it was missing the handle and he brought me out one in a box - i said i didn’t want one in a box they are all built he said he could add it to assembly and wasn’t sure if they would charge . Told me i had to buy the one in the box before he could sell the display - this item was not a display it was a built work bench with a price tag just like all the other work benches and boxes - my husband is a machinist he could of made a handle guy still refused and was putting it back on the floor to be sold full price hoping no one will notice its missing the part like we didn’t wouldn’t sell it to us full price with our buying the one in the box that was in the back . he said we could buy both at full price if we wanted the built one , we said ok but then we would return the one in a box as the other one was built he said no i’m not playing that game. This guy was such a jerk , and clearly doesn’t understand the tool boxes and benches are not displays ..
