Wholly frustrating!!! You type what your problem is and then the AI. asks what the problem is. The salesman said I wouldn’t have to pay though the winter since there was no service I got billed. This spring no establishment of the mosquito traps and I’ve got ants climbing around inside. Try to schedule an appointment when I was home and they reschedule for the day after without consent or reason. They suck

TERRIBLE customer service and communication. They have canceled and "rescheduled" without any contact several month in a row. We make efforts to contain our livestock and pets for no purpose. Frequently wasting our time with complete disregard for us.

It was their first visit, I'll know more in the weeks to come. But their manager was great, very down to earth. The service guy, did not even know he was here that's how quiet to not disturb my dogs and my working at home. They sent me pics of everywhere they treated. I'm sure I'll know soon enough given that I'm a city girl and bugs are my sworn enemies. 😆 🤣

***UPDATE TO MY REVIEW****
Called Aptive yesterday to complain about the most recently canceled appointment. They guaranteed me they’d send someone out to my house today and of course they didn’t. Called to cancel my service and they gave me a hard time. They tried to charge me $200 to cancel the service even though my service contract says cancellation would be $49. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
Absolutely awful. Signed up with them 3 months ago. Since then they have literally cancelled every single appointment that they’ve scheduled yet I continue getting billed for each month. I never had this issue with the last pest control company I had. Definitely switching back to my last one. I’ll gladly pay the extra money for actual services.

I have shared with Aptive in the past during a call to the help center that I do not believe my account has been serviced in several months. Please refer to the attached photos. I asked her for 3 things. 1. Process a refund for the months I did not receive service. 2. Restart service per our contract. 3. Provide me with the name and contact info for the local person assigned to this account. I did receive a text this past month about the latest treatment with a few pictures of my house (that looked just like ones I had seen before). I responded to that text with the attached pictures. I wonder how he could have serviced my account and not seen this. I did not receive an answer. This account has not received service for months. I never heard back on a refund and I never received any information on who is servicing my account. I am starting to see chipmonks again. At this point I am looking to find a different answer unless something changes very soon.

What is Aptive Pest Control?

Aptive provides residential pest control services to customers in more than 3,700 cities across North America. What does Aptive Pest Control do?
Aptive offers year-round pest control services for a range of insects and invasive species., including wasps, ants, scorpions, spiders, crickets, fleas, cockroaches, mice, rats, silverfish, earwigs, slugs, and snails.
Is Aptive pest control safe?
Aptive’s goal is to provide customers with professional and effective pest control solutions that reduce the harmful effects of pests. Aptive uses EPA approved products and follows all guidelines for the appropriate use of the products. Aptive is also a member of the EPA’s Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program, a program that engages communities in building awareness and reducing pesticide risk.
What pests do you treat?
Aptive treats common pests like ants, spiders, cockroaches, rodents, wasps, snails, flies, fleas, and ticks. Aptive otherwise does not treat any wood-destroying organisms such as termites, carpenter bees, or carpenter ants. Why am I still seeing pests after my first treatment?
If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.
How much does professional pest control cost?
Our professional pest control plans start as low as $49 to $55 per month for our Basic plan, depending on your location. We offer three primary tiers—Basic, Pro, and Premium—designed to fit different levels of protection needs and budgets.
Do you offer same-day pest control services?
Yes, depending on current technician availability. If you call before noon, we can often provide same-day service for urgent pest issues.
How soon can a technician come out for an emergency?
We strive for 24 to 48-hour response times. For emergencies like a yellow jacket nest or indoor roach sightings, we prioritize your call in our daily schedule.
Do you spray both the inside and outside of the house?
Yes, standard service covers both. We focus on the exterior to stop pests at the source and treat the interior (baseboards/under sinks) to eliminate any that have already entered.
What areas are included in a "perimeter" treatment?
A perimeter treatment covers 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out into the yard. We also treat windowsills, door frames, and eaves.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen?
To stop ants, we use "transferable" baits. Workers carry the bait back to the queen, killing the entire colony rather than just the ants you see on the counter.
What is the best treatment for German cockroaches?
German roaches require a combination of baiting, insect growth regulators (IGRs), and sanitation. They are resilient, so 2–3 follow-up visits are often required for total elimination.
Is pest control safe for children and infants?
Yes, we prioritize family-safe applications. By focusing on the exterior and using low-toxicity indoor treatments, we minimize exposure. We recommend keeping children out of treated areas for 30–60 minutes until dry.
What is your "Pest-Free Guarantee"?
Our guarantee means if the pests return between scheduled visits, we return for free. We stay until the problem is solved.
Do you offer free re-treatments?
Yes, all of our recurring plans include unlimited free re-treatments for covered pests.
Why am I still seeing bugs after my first service?
This is the "flush out" period. The treatment is driving pests out of their hiding spots. They will die off shortly after coming into contact with the product.
Why is the pest problem getting worse?
This usually happens with ants and roaches as they are attracted to our baits. This "surge" is a sign that the colony is actively feeding on the treatment.
How can I tell if a treatment was successful?
Success is measured by a steady decrease in sightings and finding dead insects rather than live ones.
Do you guarantee 100% elimination?
We guarantee to control and manage populations to the point where they do not infest your living space. No one can stop every single bug from ever entering, but we ensure they don't stay.
