Where do I start?... ok. I reserved a climate controlled unit, online, for the price of $85 plus $11 for insurance = $96 monthly. Nowhere on their website did it state that this price was a special, seasonal, new member, 1st month discount rate. Just a listed total of $96, discounted because I did it online. No contract they said, no lease agreement. Month to month, no obligation they said. Not one hour had gone by when I returned to their website to create an account when I seen the same unit as mine, going for $79 - $6 isn’t much til you add the months up. Then when I arrive at 7pm on a Saturday to start adding items to my unit, I learned that their 6am-10pm access is only for the outside gated units. That I can only get to my unit during office hours - Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri, Sat 9-6. Closed Wed & Sun. This info, just as the price quote, was not mentioned when making my reservation. These both rubbed me the wrong way but I chose to get over them. 2 months have gone by. My 3rd payment is due in 7 days. Today I received a notice in the mail advising me that my "promotional" monthly price has expired & now I'm to pay $176. If I was to move out, I must give a 2 week notice. So I'm obligated to pay this $176 for the next month unless I want to be fined. $176 for space that I can't do anything with unless I take time off my 9-5 job. Whether this company is in their right to practice business like this, it's not good practice. Its corporate greed. Go to their site now, my same size unit is going for $101 in store/$87 online. Rent at your risk. Don't believe these 5 star reviews. Look them up on Yelp.
