I have no complaints. They texted me before they came which I appreciate. I liked the two who came to the door. They were personable and informative. I felt they did what they said they would do. I'll evaluate more when I see how this product works.

I emailed this company for a quote. They called me within 10 mins eager to get me going. The sale rep gave me a run down and we set up an appointment for the next day at 11. When no one showed by noon I called to see if they were coming. The person that answered the phone asked for my information and proceeded to tell me that I don’t have an account with them. I’m transferred to three different departments and each said they have no record of me having an account even though the sales rep sent me a link to pay online and set up a monthly payment. They took all my credit card information with the promise of next day service and a monthly fee. So basically they took my payment information but have no record of me? How? I’m waiting to see if they charge my account because if they do I will be calling back. Shady services.

We were not aware that we signed on for recurring charges, but employees were prompt to respond to our inquiry to change our account status.

I want to leave a review on Google because most review sites I am not sure others will see. Here is the TLDR: Aptive service people in Iowa and Wisconsin have done great work. Aptive also has some of the worst customer service I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Pay attention to what you get involved with or else you will be automatically renewed into a new contract you are trying to cancel. Here is the story. I was recently in the process of moving from Iowa to Wisconsin before moving out of the US. I called Aptive and asked them to cancel my contract. They told me there would be a cancellation fee and that it would be cheaper to pay my remaining months (I end in August). Understandable and I tell them to cancel any appointments for the remaining contract so that the actual workers can focus elsewhere. Fast forward to before I leave the US, I ask them to change my address to the same as my parents so that they can have extra service or so I can have some kind of discount. They agree again and fly out. Coming a week before August after I arrived in Asia, I get a text and call from one of the exterminators from Aptive asking when I will be at my Iowa address and when to expect service. I tell him that I thought my old address had been switched to Wisconsin. So I join a group call with my mom and an Aptive service rep. I tell them the situation and it seems they are not too thrilled about hearing our complaints. The rep then transfers us to a senior rep who is trying to push the same lines as the one lower ranked rep. Unfortunately, neither's English is the greatest and I am fairly certain he did not understand what I said. So I tell him again the situation, my frustration, and if there is any guarantee I can get that the contract will end in August. He starts yelling at my mom and me to check an email that will be sent to look over details. An email was never sent.... So I send an email to 3 different Aptive email addresses that we could find. Each one auto responds with either the address is either not monitored or checked frequently (also read as, not going to respond). So I called yesterday (WiFi call saving me). Asking the situation and why no one was getting back to me. The rep again was trying to explain how their system cannot cancel the service now despite me paying my August payment. Now I am pretty frustrated obviously. So I ask some more questions: 1) Will my contract end once this month ends? We need you to cancel. 2) I just tried and you told me I cannot cancel. When can I cancel? At the end of August 3) So let me get this right, you are telling me I need to make another international call to tell you to cancel. Am I understanding this right? Yes 4) If I don't cancel in time, will I be charged for September? Yes 5) Can I add my mother as an account manager? Yes, but we cannot add her phone for whatever reason. (I don't think they spelled her name right) Which brings us to now. I will need to do another international call (hopefully over WiFi) at the end of August in order for them to cancel. This is a warning or else you will get trapped like I did and you get stuck into service with Aptive without your knowledge. I would strongly advise not going with Aptive and the tactic of being sucked into a real subscription/contract hell. I will be blocking Aptive with my credit card company. I do not trust that they will cancel my account in time.

I do not recommend this company to anyone. I signed up for pest control through a door-to-door salesperson who told me I would only be charged for six months, after which I would have to renew. I completely forgot about the six-month period, and they continued charging me for the service, which I initially let continue. Eventually, I decided to cancel the service on June 2. I was told that my account had been closed and that I would receive one final service at no charge because I had some type of credit. I explained that I did not want the free service. I simply wanted to cancel. I called back two more times that same day because I never received an email confirming the cancellation. All three representatives assured me that my account had been canceled, that I would not be charged again, and that I would receive one final service for free. I trusted that my account was indeed closed. Today, I noticed another charge from the pest control company on my bank statement. When I called to ask about it, the customer service representative told me that I had never canceled my account. I was shocked because I had called three times to make sure it was canceled. The representative explained that I was not charged in July because the company had applied a one-month credit to my account, not because my account had been canceled. That is why I was charged again in August. I was extremely upset because this was not my fault. I had specifically called to cancel and was assured three separate times that my account had been closed. The representative was very rude and did not make any effort to help me or understand what had happened. She simply told me that my account was now canceled and that I would receive a confirmation within 48 hours. She then hung up on me without resolving the issue or issuing a refund. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with how this situation was handled. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company.
