    I had a very disappointing experience at At Home. The display clearly advertised 25% OFF Select Patio Furniture (see photo), so I reasonably believed the patio table I selected was included. When I got to the register, I was told the discount only applied to the chairs, even though the sign did not clearly say that. What made the experience worse was the manager’s attitude. Instead of acknowledging that the sign was confusing, he was rude and dismissive. Clear signage and respectful customer service should be a priority. I left without buying the table and will think twice before shopping here again.

    I have been in customer service for over 20 years across all levels, from high-ticket items to everyday commonplace stuff, and I have never been treated like such crap in my life. Hands down, this is the most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with anywhere. Retail, restaurants, it doesn't matter. Top to bottom, this experience was completely useless and absolutely shocking. Let me paint this picture for you. When I went into the store to make my purchase, I told them I couldn't carry everything to the front and would need help with delivery. They were nice initially, said they had to drop off one tiny, FedEx-sized box, and promised they’d be right back. Instead, I stood there and watched them walk around in circles doing absolutely nothing. After 15 minutes of wandering, they finally stumbled over to help. In the process of carrying the chairs, they dropped one of them right on its legs. I was willing to give them grace for that because people make mistakes, but what happened next with the delivery was a complete train wreck. How a business handles a mistake says everything about their level of competence. I was extremely sick with a fever well over 102 degrees, but I carved out an hour to go to my office for the scheduled delivery. I sat there for hours waiting for them. They had promised me they had it covered and would reach out, but they never did. Finally, I had to contact them, only to be casually told that the delivery driver just couldn't show up anymore that morning. There was no call, no text, and no notification whatsoever. They literally left me sitting there sick with the expectation that my delivery was arriving. I went home to rest, fully expecting to organize a new delivery time the next day. Instead, at 9:00 PM that night, with zero warning or notification, the delivery driver texted me from my office parking lot saying he was there and asking how long it would take me to get over there. When I told him I had no idea he was coming and it would take me about 10 minutes, he actually told me I should hurry up. Despite feeling terrible, I drove over and let him in. I was completely polite and just mentioned I was surprised by the unexpected arrival, but this driver was a complete jerk. I had ordered two heavy chairs that take two people to carry, and my office is in the back. He backed up to the door, handed me the first chair, and just said, "Here you go." When I asked for his help to carry it in, he pushed it barely into the entryway, walked back to his truck, and sat there. I had to carry it to my back office by myself. He did the exact same thing with the second chair. To top it off, he literally threw my rug at me. I did absolutely nothing to treat this guy badly, yet he showed a stunningly shameful lack of respect. After throwing the rug, he walked in, took his required delivery picture, walked out, and slammed the door. There couldn't have been a bigger failure. There is not a more pathetic company, a worse delivery process, or a more dishonest lack of customer service. I am literally shocked by the level of complete incompetence and the total lack of care for their customers. I will not even dream of stepping foot back in this store again, and I will ensure that every single person I know who shops for these kinds of things knows to avoid them. Nobody should step foot in this store. Do yourself a favor and find another spot.
