I normally don’t leave reviews like this, but the way this situation was handled by management was completely unprofessional.
I was contacted about making my payment. My account/app currently shows my TOTAL DUE as $120.39—$114.41 for my rental and $5.98 for the club fee. I agreed to pay the full $120.39 shown as due.
Instead, I was told they would not accept that and that I needed to pay $179.09. The reason for the higher amount is because they also want me to pay toward NEXT WEEK in order to put my account on their “biweekly” payment schedule.
My issue is that I have always made my biweekly payment during the week that I get paid. Now my account is showing a biweekly payment as being due last week, and I am being told that paying the $120.39 their own app says I currently owe isn’t enough. They want me to pay an additional amount toward next week as well.
I wasn’t refusing to pay. I was literally trying to pay the FULL BALANCE THEIR OWN SYSTEM SHOWS AS DUE.
If $179.09 is actually required, then I don’t think it’s unreasonable for a customer to ask for an itemized explanation showing why the app says $120.39 is due, why the payment schedule/due date is showing differently than I have been paying it, and why I am required to pay toward next week before next week is due.
This isn’t my only concern with the billing either. I have previously been told I owed additional fees that were not showing anywhere in my app. When it comes to someone’s money, there should be complete transparency. Customers should be able to see exactly what they owe, what each charge is for, and how their payments are being applied.
What really made me decide to leave this review, though, was the assistant manager’s response when I questioned it.
I was told, “u ain’t gona pick and chose what u wana pay,” and that if I didn’t pay $179.09, they could pick up the merchandise and I could “take ur business somewhere else.”
When I said I would contact someone higher up to get clarification, the response was, “Go ahead im the assistant manager and youll get the same answer.” Then I was asked, “not sure why ur still texting?”
That’s not how you speak to a customer who is asking legitimate questions about their account.
I’m not trying to “pick and choose” what I owe. I’m asking why your own system says my total amount due is $120.39 while your employee is demanding $179.09 and threatening to pick up the merchandise if I don’t also pay toward next week.
If there is a policy or something in my agreement requiring this, then show it to me and provide an accurate account ledger. That’s all that needed to happen.
Regardless of the disagreement over the payment schedule, there was absolutely no reason for an assistant manager to communicate with a customer this way.
Based on this experience, I do not recommend going through them for anything. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.
Customers should keep screenshots of their account balances, receipts, and payment history and question any amount they’re asked to pay that doesn’t match what their account shows.

Been a bit down on my luck and decided that since I started a new job I taught to be able to treat myself a bit... Started looking around at wahat specials were around and saw an ad for a Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart from Arona, normally I wouldn't bother with a rent to own company because I already know how shady and subpar the product quality generally is... But my son was just coming back from a long hospital stay and his birthday was coming up soon and he loves Nintendo, so against my better judgement I called them up and got the ball rolling.
When I arrived I was presented with a incomplete USED Switch 2, a mountain of paperwork, as well as the threat of police action should I fail to pay without "just cause" for an excessive duration. I was like I intend to pay, so no worries; I go through the paperwork booklet signing and initialing away... Then the total cost page come up and I'm blown away: nearly triple the retail value of the product in question- For the early pay off. Almost six times as much should I go through the whole process for the full duration. Being this far into the process already and likely behind some unrefundable fees, I grit my teeth an go ahead.
Now, here's the kicker: the product was used, incomplete, and had no games. The clerk assured me that they factory data reset everything and when I go through the set up process the game from the bundle would be available for download from the switch store. I told her that as a veteran gamer that software DRM doesn't work that way and there will be no game available to download unless I choose to pay for it. She claimed that the games were tied to the device serial number and that it would be available. So I gave the uncommon benefit of the doubt to her so that I could hopefully go home and make my children a little happier for just a little while, maybe even have some family games of Mario Kart while we wait to get more games down the line.
So I took the Switch 2, the dock, and the ONN brand 1.2 amp charger home to my wife and kids and start getting it set up. First the charger can't power the dock to display in the TV, Second there was no game available for download except the games I had previously purchased for the Original Switch, and Third the other "Accessories" that are supposed to be with it the joycon straps and the HDMI cable had to be appropriated from elsewhere, not cool, but doable I guess; at this point I didn't know that the charger they gave us couldn't power the dock because the console was 100% dead, probably intentionally so. This was strike 1, getting annoyed.
So after charging for 45 minutes or so, it was at 25% sure that was kind of strange but whatever it's a switch 2 maybe it has a humongous battery. Then when I powered it up on the dock, and learned that the power supply was " inadequate to power the dock" and I would have to use the device handheld for setup, this was strike 2, getting upset.
Next I angrily plowed through tutorials, suggestions, setup, and updates including recovering my disused Nintendo account. Then when I finally finish all that and have got down to 15% just doing set up not downloading or playing anything, clearly either the battery isn't that big or it's been so well used that it's already starting to degrade, either way I'm already unamused and I head on over to the e-shop to verify the claim that the game is bundled to the device serial#. (Which isn't a thing in gaming) I went to my games: all I have is what I bought for my wife and kids on the original switch, so just to dot my i's and cross my t's I go to each and every Mario Kart title in the E-shop; Lo and Behold I cannot download any of them without paying $60+ for something I was assured to get via device serial. This was strike 3, and I had to asked my wife to call because I was ready to go scorched earth on whomever picked up the phone.
We were told that we could come pick up a brand new one the following Monday 6/1/26, however it has yet to be available at the time of writing this on 6/3/26. Exactly why I avoid this industry.
