  The guy that works in the store is so rude he hardly acknowledges that you're even in the store. Whoever owns this store should be ashamed of themselves for employing this guy and paying him for absolutely nothing. Do not waste your time in this store. The pool store in hampstead will go out of their way to help you with your chemicals.

  Went there to have new water delivery water tested they told me my pH was 6.5 my alkalinity was 0 and my cya was 17 and instructed me to put in 4.9 ounces of soda ash. I bought a 5 pound container and proceeded to add this with probably a pound left over my pH shot up well over 8.2 !! have already added 30 ounces of pH down to no avail ! I ordered a Taylor test kit as they told me my CYA was 17 when I actually did a test myself using the Taylor test kit and it’s reading 50 so do not go to Leslie‘s. They don’t give you accurate information and they’ll only put you in a worse situation than you’re already in now. I’m battling getting the pH down and the alkalinity that’s locked into the 140 range ! now had I done what they told me to do with the CYA I would well be up over the ideal range after just spending $900 to have the pool drained I would be going through that again in probably four months if I listen to them. !!!!! So it’s been a few weeks now got ph down ( an additional $20 I had to spend!) now have spent another $20. To start adding muriatic acid to bring alkalinity down. In doing that I now have just spent another $20 to order a water fountain to aerate the water as ph will drop after using the MA! Lesson to be learnt!!!! Don’t go to Leslie’s by a Taylor home kit and test water yourself !!!!

  I would leave less that a star if I could. I spent 468 dollars on the chemicals they recommended and followed their "procedure" for adding them and I can't see a foot into my pools water. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is a bad business, hugely over priced and extremely incompetent. Far from great is an understatement. It would be a joke if I didn't spend so much money on their complete and total incompetence. Not only did they tell me the wrong chemicals, they had me add a hardness additive and now I have to drain 25%of my pool and buy new water because I dont want to drain my well. Thanks for nothing

  Don't waste your time going to the one on 17th in wilmington nc. The one on the north side, by Sam's club, is spot on.
