I had a really bad experience today at Lowes. I drove 45 min to Lowe's to pickup a Kohler chair height toilet online item curbside. On the way home, I kept hearing the box rattling. When I got home, my husband looked in the box and the tank was broken in half! This was around 6pm on a Tuesday evening and I hadn't even fixed dinner for my family yet! I was very upset and called the store to speak to a manager but waited on the line for 30 min and no one picked up. So, I drove 45 minutes back to the store and the girl at the return desk tried to call someone but no one came! A guy name Eric finally came past the desk and the clerk told him what I needed. He said that he wasn't the manager for the appliance section but told me that he would swap the toilet out for another one. He was very polite and attentive but I was so frustrated that Lowe's didn't offer a discount or something for all the gas, stress and frustration they caused by selling me a broken toilet! Kohler needed to have package this item better! The toilet had no secure packaging (only wrapped in plastic) and when the guys that put it in my trunk keep pushing and flipping the box it may have been damaged then. Eric explained that it should not be transported laying down but rather standing upright! Eric did take the time to take a 2nd toilet out of the box so I could inspect it before he put it in my vehicle! I have never had a problem with Lowe's but this experience has made me not wanting to do business with them again! Especially not to purchase a Kohler toilet that has no protective packaging! I will definitely be watching to see if this one leaks or has small cracks upon installation! Other reviewers have also reported broken and cracked item. Kohler, you need to do better!

Wow, so when I first entered the store, I could literally hear the teenagers saying that I was crazy as hell and saying things about me having a mental illness.
