This place is super clean and seems well looked after. When I rolled up today the manager Jason was cleaning the windows, come on what storage facility does that. I’ve used a bunch of the years and they are all dumps. This place is maintained to the 9’s. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a spec of dirt or a big inside.
Jason is always super kind and the kids love coming here.
What is usually boring and a horrible part of your day going to the storage unit it’s not here.
Jason runs a top notch place!

Title: Unprofessional Manager Lied to Police to Illegally Evict Us (Unit 320 - 2701 McNeil St)
My name is Kevin, and I rent Unit 320 at the Extra Space Storage location on 2701 McNeil Street in Raleigh, NC. I am writing this review to warn others and to demand that corporate immediately investigate the manager at this facility, who completely fabricated lies to law enforcement to lock us out.
My family and I have been using our unit to sort through our belongings to sell them. Because the outside temperatures have been reaching over 100°F, we choose to work in the evenings after office hours when it is cooler. Due to the extreme heat and having to unpack a very full unit, we occasionally sat down inside our unit to take necessary water breaks.
Out of nowhere, the manager called the police on us. When the police arrived, the manager lied directly to the officer's face, claiming she had "caught us sleeping in the unit" and had "warned us multiple times."
This is a complete and total lie:
Zero Prior Contact: We have never once slept in the unit, and the manager has never spoken to us or warned us about this prior to the police arriving.
No Written Notices: We never received a single text, email, phone call, or written warning regarding any lease violations.
No Proof: The manager claims she "caught" us several times, yet we almost exclusively work when the office is closed. I challenge management to provide dates, times, or camera footage of these alleged incidents—they can't, because it never happened.
Following her lies to the police, she immediately blocked our gate code, restricting our access to get our own belongings.
Extra Space Storage policy states that management should act with integrity and not falsify claims to force a tenant out. This manager abused her authority, lied to the police, and illegally locked us out of Unit 320. Be extremely cautious renting at this McNeil Street location; if this manager decides she doesn't like how you work, she will literally make up lies to law enforcement to get you evicted.
Corporate needs to look into the account for Unit 320 and investigate this manager's conduct immediately.
