  We have been doing business with EPC for almost 2 years. They were great until the last 3 months. They stopped cleaning the leaves out of our pool, which caused our pumps to be clogged. Instead of clearing the clogged lines, they recommended replacing all pumps, which was over $7,000. When this did not solve our issue, they actually did clear the clog which was at the impeller, causing the pumps to be about 10 times louder than they should have been. We never needed to replace the pumps but did so at their recommendation. Then we noticed our spa was leaking water and there was a crack in the seat. We inquired about fixing that and got a $6,200 quote. We balked and they reduced it to $5,200. They demoed the spa and had another company put in Pebbletec. They claimed that their quote did not include fixing the coping, even though it obviously does, and demanded another $1,200 on top of the whole project. When we refused, they abandoned the project. Now our spa refinishing is halfway done and they are threatening us with legal action because we won't pay 95% of the quote. Looking to pay top dollar for sub par work? Bait and switch? This is your company. If you want someone honest, look elsewhere!
