- SBSally Beck-FurrJul 31, 20261.0Our HOA bought their mulch to replace the pine straw here as it was put in by the developer of 15 years ago & replaced yearly & sloppily (by landscaper) and was also deemed a major fire hazard. They told Henson that and what their budget was and Henson sold them a finely chopped "dusting" of what they called mulch. I called Henson about it to ask how fire resistant it was and if it repelled any vermin/insects/etc. At least this woman was honest when she said "NO, IT'S NOT FIRE RESISTANT & I SURE WOULDN'T WANT TO SEE A CIGARETTE BUTT PUT OUT IN IT". Oh, and it isn't bug resistant either -- on the contrary. We've never seen so many variety of insects/vermin in our lives! TONS of ants, roaches (some flying!), TERMITES, beetles, and even SHREWS now!!!!!
