  ​The Ultimate Eastern NC Lowe’s Odyssey ​Step 1 (New Bern - Home Lowe’s): Panel saw is down. Step 2 (Morehead City): Call ahead, hear "Yep, it works!" Arrive the next day, get told "Saw guy's on lunch... wait, actually it's broken, ticket submitted." Step 3 (The Next Lowe’s): Drive 20 minutes while staying on hold the entire drive, walk inside, browse for 5 minutes, and hang up after 25+ total minutes without a human ever answering. ​Plot Twist: Tracked down the legendary employee who actually knows how to run a panel saw that is actually functioning! 🏆 ​My untreated plywood practically aged into fine mahogany while waiting, and my plan to knock off at 1600 and build turned into pulling home at 9:00 PM. But on the bright side, since Lowe's pushed my project timeline into tomorrow, I get to call it a night, eat dinner, and actually enjoy the evening with my wife! ​Moral of the story: This county is in desperate need of some friendly competition—time to petition for a Home Depot until I can afford a work table for my own table saw. ​Major props to the Lowe's employee who actually came through and helped me get my wood cut! 🙌

  I bought a Ring Doorbell. Charged it for 8 hours. Wasn't functional. Took it back. Got a refund. Purchased another one. It works. Very good customer service. No hassles. An employee stuck with me from beginning to end the second purchase regardless of being called upon. Thank you Aniya!

  Ordered 8 Storage Bins for delivery. App guaranteed delivery today. Received notification that my order was delivered. It wasn’t! You can’t call the store to talk to a person. I am told by a person in a call center, an investigation must occur it will take 24 hours!!!!! Ridiculous. Do not order anything from Lowe’s. They suck

  I had to purchase 30 bags of concrete and some 10’ pieces of rebar today. I asked for help loading it. Xavier was there when I went outside. I think he was supposed to have a helper but there wasn’t anyone else. While I went to get the truck, he used the time by sweeping up the spilled concrete and straightening that area. He was so helpful and made the task so much easier for me. He truly went above and beyond expectations!

  I’m extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this particular Lowe’s location today, September 16, 2026, at approximately 12:27 PM. I travel frequently for work and shop at Lowe’s locations in different cities and states on a regular basis, especially through the Pro Desk, so I’m very familiar with the normal checkout and payment processes. Unfortunately, the experience I had at this store felt unnecessarily confusing and like I was being given the runaround. I first went to Register 2 at the Pro Desk. I did not catch the employee’s name, but she was a Black woman wearing glasses. I explained that I needed to complete a phone sale/text-to-pay transaction. I was told that she could not process a phone sale or text-to-pay transaction at that register and that I would need to go to Customer Service. Before walking all the way over there, I went directly across to the Pro Checkout and spoke with Julia. I explained what I was trying to do, and I was again told that it could not be handled there and that I needed to go to Customer Service. This was frustrating because I travel state to state and regularly purchase materials from Lowe’s for work. I have completed phone sales and text-to-pay transactions through Pro Services at other Lowe’s locations without being bounced around the store. As a Pro customer, one of the biggest reasons for using the Pro Desk is convenience and efficiency. Contractors and professionals are usually trying to get materials purchased and get back to a jobsite, so being redirected from one register to another without much explanation is frustrating and wastes valuable time. I eventually went to Customer Service and was helped by Lisa, and I want to make it very clear that Lisa completely stood out from everyone else I interacted with. Lisa was absolutely amazing. She was sweet, professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed interested in helping me instead of simply sending me somewhere else. She knew what she was doing, communicated clearly, and made the process much easier. Her customer service was noticeably better than the other interactions I had during this visit. Honestly, Lisa is the reason this review isn’t entirely negative. Employees like her are exactly what customers — especially Pro customers who spend a significant amount of money with Lowe’s — hope to encounter. She represented the store extremely well and deserves recognition for the way she handled the situation. My main issue is not that I had to walk to another counter. My issue is the lack of consistency and the feeling of being passed around when I came in trying to complete what should have been a relatively straightforward transaction. If this particular location has different procedures regarding phone sales or text-to-pay transactions, those procedures should be clearly communicated and consistent across the Pro Desk so customers aren’t left wondering why something they routinely do at other Lowe’s locations suddenly cannot be done here. I shop at Lowe’s frequently because of my work and have dealt with many Lowe’s locations across multiple states. Because of that, I have a pretty good idea of the level of service I normally receive from Pro Services, and unfortunately this location fell short of that expectation during this visit. Again, I want to specifically recognize Lisa at Customer Service. She was the highlight of the entire experience and demonstrated exactly what knowledgeable, professional customer service should look like. I sincerely hope management recognizes her for that. The Pro Desk experience, however, needs improvement when it comes to communication, consistency, and making the purchasing process efficient for Pro customers.
