    So, my husband and I are paying on a furniture set from Aaron's and we have been paying on it since November of 2025. It is now April 7th 2026. We TRIED so hard to like the furniture for 4 months but it was just too UNCOMFORTABLE! We chose the Brynn Reclining Sofa, Reclining Loveseat and the Glider Recliner which was our only option because the selection of furniture from Aaron's is just nil. This is the most uncomfortable set I have ever purchased. The couches do not recline all the way back and they are just a pain in the butt. We called our local Aaron's over a week ago on 3/30 to tell them we no longer wanted to continue our lease with them and we needed the furniture picked up by April 15th, which they informed us that it was no big deal and they would make note that the furniture was to be picked up and our lease would be cancelled. My husband called and told them about us wanting to cancel our lease with them over a week ago on 3/30 and after getting off the phone, we got an email saying that our payments had been paused which I thought, great...the payments are paused so we no longer need to worry about payment and they can just come pick up the furniture by the 15th of April so we can get our new furniture set that we ordered from a different company. Well, I got a call today, 4/7, from our local Aaron's and they were asking where the payment was from April 1st because our payment comes out every week automatically and of course, after being told our lease was cancelled and then getting an email saying that we have paused payments, I wasn't expecting them to be wanting a payment from us. I explained that we had called a week ago to cancel our lease and the employee we talked to had in fact cancelled our lease and paused our payments but I was informed that nowhere in our account did it say our lease had been cancelled and I was also told that the lease couldn't be cancelled until they got the furniture back and that they were needing payment. So, let me get this straight...someone at the Aaron's store paused our payments and said that they would make note that our furniture needed picked up by a certain date and they then proceeded to pause our payments, tell us our lease was cancelled when in fact it wasn't.... just for them to call today wanting a payment and tell me that they will take out a double payment tomorrow since we didn't pay on the 1st? Do you know why Aaron's didn't receive payment on the 1st?? BECAUSE OUR PAYMENTS WERE PAUSED....AN EMPLOYEE IN THE STORE LITERALLY PAUSED ALL UPCOMING PAYMENTS!!! That is why they didn't receive a payment. We DON'T WANT THE FURNITURE ANYMORE! Our payments automatically deduct from our bank account because we are set up with with EZ pay so, it's not like we were the ones that didn't pay the bill. I don't think that it is appropriate to pause a customer's payments and tell them that it would be no problem to cancel their lease and then act like it's perfectly fine to schedule a day to pick up their furniture and then number 1, not even make note of it in their account and 2, call a customer demanding payment when our payments were paused to begin with because we no longer wanted the furniture. The communication between these employees is seriously lacking and they seem incompetent. This is the FIRST and LAST time I shop at Aaron's. UPDATE: I received an email saying that we had a payment coming due. Aaron's picked their furniture up from our home on 4/10. It's now 4/14. We have been without furniture since 4/10 so WHY am I getting an email saying we have a payment due? I call the store and of course, they informed me they yes, (while they have had their furniture back) no one cancelled our lease for our upcoming payments. Aaron's literally told us they couldn't cancel our lease until they got their furniture back, they get their furniture back and didn't even cancel our lease so they were going to still continue to take our money even with their furniture back in their possession. If I hadn't called, they would've taken another payment out of our account. 100%
