Most of the employees here are normal, decent people. My experience today was....odd. Lowes has a cart of empty containers and people normally are allowed to take them if they need them. It is a recycling cart. What is better than recycling? Reusing. They had a few containers with the size I've been looking for. As I went to grab the two on the top shelf I hear someone calling from rows away, "ma'am, can I help you? Ma'am, ma'am". When i realized he was talking to me, I also realized he marching towards me like a man on mission. Like he was going to defend the empty and broken containers with his life if it came to it. We all know the type. He asked if he can help me again then told me that those empty containers are for recycling. Basically saying I was not allowed to get any. He told me that he had asked and was told no in the past. I am sure that did not happen. He then told me that there were two more carts, I'm assuming outside of the gate.Then he proceeded to tell me that if I needed them he could turn the other way this time. I told him that I was good and walked away. Sir you just made a scene like you caught a thief in action, I am good. It was so weird and so unnecessary. I could see someone being humiliated by what he did. So just to clarify I asked another associate because I have come to use that cart many times and if it is not allowed then I want to make sure I respect that. The last thing I need is to be marched out of the garden center in handcuffs for stealing containers going out for recycling. He told me that it has never been an issue just as I thought. He did not know why this guy made it an issue. Thank goodness that guy doesn't have a badge and a gun.

I previously left a poor review but I can now see this store has improved dramatically under the current management. I was greeted by Brandon which told me where to find lawnmower blades. While leaving, he asked did I find it, I said yes but a competitor had a lower price. He took me to customer service and they gave me that price. Customer service, at returns, was fast and the manager approved this with a smile. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF.
