Extremely concerning experience with Lowe’s
My father and I purchased a water heater and were told Lowe’s would deliver and install it the next day. We prepared everything and waited all day, only to receive no installation and almost no communication. The store manager, Wallen, stopped responding to my father’s calls.
After contacting corporate, we were told someone would come out the following day. Instead, two individuals arrived, including a man in a white Tesla who was extremely confrontational, refused to provide his name or identification, and began photographing our property and personal/work equipment without explaining why.
Because of how suspicious and uncomfortable the situation became, we contacted the police. The responding officers attempted to contact Lowe’s to get information about the individuals and why they were at our property, but Lowe’s was unable or unwilling to provide the information requested.
What is especially concerning is that the store manager continues to ignore us and has not cooperated in providing answers about who Lowe’s sent to our home, why they were there, or why our property was being photographed.
This is no longer just a delayed installation. We were given conflicting information, ignored by management, and had unidentified individuals sent to our property who refused to properly identify themselves and photographed our belongings. Lowe’s needs to take this seriously and explain exactly what happened.

I bought a Blackstone flat top grill for my husband for his birthday. I ordered it 8 days before the day I wanted it deliver. I ordered it in a Friday and scheduled it to be delivered the following Saturday for my husband's surprise 50th birthday party. The morning. It was supposed to be delivered I got a call and they said they can't deliver it because their assemblers haven't been in for the last couple days. I said if they knew it was schedules for today they should have prepared for it ahead of time regardless. I was very upset since I ordered it 8 days before hand. I spoke to a manager and he said their assembler only comes in on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I said the other person I talked to said they haven't been in the last couple days, so which is it. Long story short, they couldn't deliver it untill the following Wednesday (4 days later). Wednesday comes and I get an email saying items unable to be delivered. I called the store and spoke to an associate, and he said on their end it's still saying that it will be delivered between 9 am and 1 pm. And he checked with the assembler and they were there and said the same thing. 1 pm rolls around and still no delivery. I called and spoke with a manager and I get the same story, "our assembler hasn't been in for a couple days". I said I was just told this morning the assembler was here and that my grill will be delivered today between 9 and 1. He said we're not able to deliver it today because it isn't assembled yet. I said this is unacceotable and unprofessional. Why was I not told this when I called first thing I. The morning. He had no reasonable explanation. He said it could be delivered the following day, (today). Now I get a call saying the delivery is going to be 1 hour late because of "truck issues". I will never order from Lowe's again because of this.

I like the convenience of the Hope Mills store being close to home. But we have tried to buy a large appliance there twice this year and ended up leaving to go to another store because we couldn't get assistance. Most recently, a few weeks ago, we waited 15 minutes while the sales associate chatted with a customer about her dog. The customer was facing us and saw we were getting impatient and were trying to move on, but the associate kept petting the dog. We left and purchased the fridge at another Lowes

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
