Ordered a john deere lawn riding lawn mower from my local store here in elizbeth city, ordered on Wednesday as of noon on Friday no progress was shown. Went to local store to inquire about progress. I was told they had mower in stock but my mower was coming from different location even though I live less than a.mile away.

I expected more from Lowe’s. I placed an order online for curbside pick up last night after 10 PM. As of 5 PM, the order had still not been picked and no notifications have been sent to say it’s ready. I decided to call the Store to confirm before making the 25 minute journey. The AI assistant to the answer the phone confirm the same thing I already knew, that the order had not yet been picked. I asked to speak to a human and was put into a series of circular call loops to nowhere. After tricking out the system, I was able to get someone but they put me back into a phone loop. I could tell that the phone was getting picked up at different intervals and they just must’ve put me back on hold because I heard them speaking in the background. Total apathy. I also asked to speak to a store manager multiple times and they were not available. if you’re looking for customer service you will not find it at the Lowe’s in Elizabeth city. I was generous and giving two stars since I was finally able to pick up my appliance after I had to work for it. Ironically, while I was in in-store pick up line. Another customer was being told that even though their order was ready for pick up, it was actually not there.
Update: I got home with the dryer and it was damaged. This made the frustrating experience a little bit worse. However, the good news is when I got back to the store after speaking to a manager he apologized for my trouble and gave me a different and undamaged dryer at a reduced price. This helped a bit to make up for my poor experience.

What should be a simple transaction is now a horrible experience. Placed an online order for curbside pickup on July 16th. System said it would be ready in 3 hours. 24 hours later and there is no status change to the order. Though I’d call the store to see what’s up. Spent 30 minutes trying to navigate the automated phone system which couldn’t give me any answers to my order status. Finally made it connect me to customer service. Then sat and listened to the phone ring for almost 15 minutes. Hung up and called back. Did the same merry go round with their phone system. This time though someone finally answered and told me to hold and then hung up on me. It’s always hit or miss with the quality of customer service you’ll get at this Lowe’s. More than 24 hours later and still no idea what my order status is. This transaction is one of those absolutely horrid customer service moments from this store.
