Im a contractor that helps alot in the elderly community. Usually these people dont find the right person to help them because they are older and set in their ways..so people usually dont like to deal with their expectations.
One thing I always offer is the "phone sale" route. Something that ive done at Lowes all over the RTP area for years no problem.
8/20 I walked up to the customer service desk and asked for help with the phone sale. ( an older lady with glasses (didnt catch her name) and a younger lady named Lou) were standind there. They both looked at each other and rolled their eyes. The older lady grabbed her stuff and said "ooop its time for a break!" And the other younger lady proceeded to say she HATED doing phone sales. And went back and forth as to who was going to help me as I stood there. She scanned my stuff with an attitude. Then called my client and was rolling her eyes and yelling to my client if she was ready to give her info. My client was taking a few mins to grab her card and make the payment because she is handicap. The cashier was yelling at her " Are you ready or what!?? Like 3xs. The rolling of the eyes got me. Its 2026 we need to grow up and do our jobs which is what they pay us for.
I know for a fact that manangement could careless. But just want people to know that the majority of the employees at this HUGE CORPORATION hate their Jobs. They hate their customers.
