Area Modern Home

Area Modern Home is a modern furniture and home store in downtown Durham, at 101 West Chapel Hill St. We carry modern sofas, sectionals, chairs, ottomans, cabinets, lighting, and accent tables from Younger, Gus Modern, Blu Dot, Pablo, BDI, and Ethnicraft. The shop is small on purpose. We keep a working selection on the floor so you can sit on the real thing, feel the frames and the cushions, and see the finishes in person. The rest gets configured with the owner from the catalog and fabric swatches, in your fabric, your leg, your size. Custom upholstery is made to order. Serving Durham, Chapel Hill, and the Triangle. Our second showroom is in Greensboro.
