I've tried to be patient with the terrible customer service at this Lowe's because it's the closest to my home. But now I'm done. Twice in the past week, I've purchased wheat straw, left the counter, walked to my vehicle, and then driven around to the straw trailers... to then wait for a full 20 minutes before going back in asking where the "special assistance needed" actually was. To then go back to the trailers and wait another 15 - 20 minutes. Today I'd had enough, drove back around the the customer service desk to get a refund for the wheat straw that no one would come pull out of the trailer! This is the last, latest straw breaking the camel's back - this Lowe's is the worst home improvement center I've ever encountered. I won't be back - Ace Hardware is farther away, but their straw is cheaper and comes in larger bails - and they actually act like they appreciate customers. I'm now officially done with Lowe's

Best decision ever to pay the install fee. I installed our own floors and have done a lot of house work myself. However, I knew our old dishwasher had some sketchy DIY electrical work that was still hard wired into our home. Lowes sent Ben to uninstall, hall away, and replace our old dishwasher with a brand new one for the low flat service fee. We even gave them a heads up that we knew it would be a mess and Ben handled it with such safety and care! He was respectful, considerate when talking through options for removal (involved safety calls from the previous house owners unsafe set up), and spent the whole morning fixing a HUGE undertaking with speed and precision. He went above and beyond. We are so thankful for him, his work, and our safe dishwasher!

I wanted to give a huge shout-out to Fox in the Paint Department. I visited Lowe’s today and had a question that wasn’t even related to paint, but Fox took the time to help me anyway. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure I got the information I needed. It’s employees like him who make shopping at Lowe’s a great experience. Awful is the one word that comes to mind. If I could give a rating below negative 5 I would.
My experience revolves around a reservation that I made for a mini excavator, and auger, and a truck. I called multiple times in the days leading up to my rental date to make sure things were going to be ready which I was assured. My last call was on the day of the rental because they would not hold a truck for me to haul the excavator and one can't reserve it online either. This is a major flaw in the business model.
I showed up last Saturday and did all the paperwork. I got the truck hitched up to the excavator only to find the light connection was damaged to the point that it needed to be replaced. This meant I could not take the excavator for safety reason. They did not have the mechanic on duty who is the only one that can fix this.
I had to go to another location so that I could rent the excavator.
Yes, this is a long story...sorry.
So, I returned the truck and auger and have been trying to have them address my concerns with the billing. I was asking for some relief for the extra hours of the rental which I used up running between Lowes because their equipment was not ready.
Long story short. I've been trying to get the store manager Kayla to return my call this whole week. She has not made ANY attempt to call me back after I've talked to about 10 people at her store to get this resolve. I asked for the District Manager's name and they all refused to provide me with her/his number. So, basically a customer is left at the hands of Kayla to NOT do her job.
I also called the corporate number only to find out there is no escalation path because all they wanted to do is have me contact the store manager. Yes, the one that refuses to take calls or requests for call back.
I finally got an email from one of the assistant manager with a refund of sorts. I responded thanking him for trying to handle this and asked to help me understand how they arrived at the refund amount but have not heard back.
Lowes, you should look at my purchase history to see that you've lost a solid customer. All the marketing in the world is not better than what we provide as customer - face to face and personal recommendations.
UPDATE: I did get a call from Kayla and we've been able to address this situation.
