  World Market is one of my go-to places no matter what city I'm spending time in. One reason I head straight to a World Market on trips is that I don't have one locally. Another is that selection of items can vary from place to place, and that's fascinating. I also love the variety of things available for sale, from colorful rugs to funky furniture and furnishings to food items from all over the world. I never visit a World Market without finding something I didn't know I needed. The World Market on Sharon Amity in Charlotte is a first-rate example of this chain.

  I always enjoy a few minutes walking around to see what is new here. Customer service is very nice and I usually find good snacks if nothing else.

  This is the best world market in the Charlotte area. Always well stocked and has items that the others do not. I loved the cashier as well wish I got her name.

  Called to see if they had something in stock I said “hi I was just calling to see if yall have any nee”- she cut me off and said “no” I said “needohs or” - she cut me off again said “no” I kept finishing my question “speks in stock” she said “we don’t”…. Like damn girl I’m just asking a question let me finish my question and then you can say no in a rude tone if you want Janine

  I am giving this particular World Market a one star rating because of the attitude of the manager. I live almost 20 miles away from this store, but drove there because their website indicated they had in stock 2 of the items I was looking to purchase. When I arrived, the their associate said their inventory indicated they actually had 4 in stock. When I asked to purchase 2, I was told, they did not have any in stock. I requested, the manager waive the shipping charges since World Market has extremely high shipping charges and I had driven a total of 40 miles round trip just to purchase the items. Instead of accommodating my request and having the attitude of serving the customer first, she took the attitude "it's the customer's fault that our website is wrong" and we don't care how inconvenienced you are. Don't believe our website, because we're not responsible for what is on it. SHAME ON YOU!
