- CJCrystal JordanJul 31, 20261.0I’m so heartbroken to report this experience, but as a Christian establishment. I feel you need to be made aware. Today my mom and I went to hobby lobby on our way home from out of town. While there my mom found an art set and paint brushes with a 40% off poster directly in front of the items. When she got to the cash register the paint brushes rang up discounted, however the paint did not. So my mom politely made her aware the sign that was there stated all items that brand were 40% off. The cashier who had to be 20 years older than my mother (only Relevant because I know she was old enough to know better), proceeded to look at my mom and said obviously you don’t know how to read. My mom completely taken back and shocked by how she was just spoken to asked for a manager, again politely and without causing a scene, The manager then came and said no one reads anymore and looked at my mom and said well do you want it or not. Mom again not causing a scene as most would have did purchase the items at full price, because here’s the thing it wasn’t about the $, it was about the fact that a Christian establishment would lie about something that was clearly stated directly in front of them that we could go and give them tangible proof that was there. It was also about the fact of how they handled their self in an establishment that provides their self on being different from the rest. Today we might as well have went to Walmart and that says a lot. All I’m asking for this review is to remind your customer service your doing more than ringing up paint brushes, your being a witness and today you were a great example of who not to be. We certainly won’t be back, and further more we will ensure your surrounding establishments know the type of employees you employee. Today was uncalled for, and never a way anyone should be spoken to. God bless
