Not good. Under dosed product and under applied. They'll even spray your yard during a rain storm. Its just not affective at all for me. Its expensive to cancel and they make it hard on you to do so. Thats why ive been stuck with this bad company for over a year. They will come out and reapply every time you complain but its the same under dosed solution so it doesnt even help. Dont sign up!

If I could give Aptive Pest Control less than 1 star I would, this company is a complete waste of time and money. After MANY missed appointments, I finally was able to cancel the service. Having to also pay an early termination fee was incredibly frustrating and I feel was pretty unfair when they have consistently not shown up and haven’t actually completed any services but the initial one. All I have to say is to stay far away from this company.

Aptive is by far one of the worst pest control services I’ve used. The technicians are friendly and professional, but I’m paying for effective pest control—not a friendly conversation.
Since they started treating my property, I’ve actually seen more insects than I did before. It honestly feels like the treatments are encouraging pests rather than eliminating them.
I’ve never been so willing to pay a $199 cancellation fee just to end a contract. If you’re considering signing up with Aptive, I recommend doing your research and weighing your options carefully before committing.

On 5/9, a door-to-door salesperson came to my house and signed me up for an initial pest control service for around $65. I specifically asked if there was any commitment and was told I could cancel at any time.
On 5/12, I called to confirm that before the appointment. That’s when I was told there was actually a $175 cancellation fee. Since that was the complete opposite of what I had been told, I canceled the appointment before any service was performed and asked that my account be closed. I was told it had been.
On 6/29, I received a text saying a technician was on the way to my house for my appointment. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone explaining that I had canceled weeks earlier. I was then told I would have to pay the $175 cancellation fee, even though the first service had never happened because I canceled beforehand. After going back and forth, they finally agreed to close the account without charging me.
I can’t comment on the quality of their pest control because they never serviced my home. My issue was with the sales process and the cancellation. If you decide to use Aptive, make sure you read the contract carefully and get any promises about cancellation in writing.

Why am I still seeing pests after my first treatment?
If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.
How much does professional pest control cost?
Our professional pest control plans start as low as $49 to $55 per month for our Basic plan, depending on your location. We offer three primary tiers—Basic, Pro, and Premium—designed to fit different levels of protection needs and budgets.
Do you offer same-day pest control services?
Yes, depending on current technician availability. If you call before noon, we can often provide same-day service for urgent pest issues.
How soon can a technician come out for an emergency?
We strive for 24 to 48-hour response times. For emergencies like a yellow jacket nest or indoor roach sightings, we prioritize your call in our daily schedule.
Do you spray both the inside and outside of the house?
Yes, standard service covers both. We focus on the exterior to stop pests at the source and treat the interior (baseboards/under sinks) to eliminate any that have already entered.
What areas are included in a "perimeter" treatment?
A perimeter treatment covers 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out into the yard. We also treat windowsills, door frames, and eaves.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen?
To stop ants, we use "transferable" baits. Workers carry the bait back to the queen, killing the entire colony rather than just the ants you see on the counter.
What is the best treatment for German cockroaches?
German roaches require a combination of baiting, insect growth regulators (IGRs), and sanitation. They are resilient, so 2–3 follow-up visits are often required for total elimination.
Is pest control safe for children and infants?
Yes, we prioritize family-safe applications. By focusing on the exterior and using low-toxicity indoor treatments, we minimize exposure. We recommend keeping children out of treated areas for 30–60 minutes until dry.
What is your "Pest-Free Guarantee"?
Our guarantee means if the pests return between scheduled visits, we return for free. We stay until the problem is solved.
Do you offer free re-treatments?
Yes, all of our recurring plans include unlimited free re-treatments for covered pests.
Why am I still seeing bugs after my first service?
This is the "flush out" period. The treatment is driving pests out of their hiding spots. They will die off shortly after coming into contact with the product.
Why is the pest problem getting worse?
This usually happens with ants and roaches as they are attracted to our baits. This "surge" is a sign that the colony is actively feeding on the treatment.
How can I tell if a treatment was successful?
Success is measured by a steady decrease in sightings and finding dead insects rather than live ones.
Do you guarantee 100% elimination?
We guarantee to control and manage populations to the point where they do not infest your living space. No one can stop every single bug from ever entering, but we ensure they don't stay.
