Been with them for 4 months and from the
beginning I they have yet to take care of an ongoing sugar ant problem in our home. Also they up charged for mosquito control and have yet to treat for this. They have call center overseas and can’t get anyone local to assist…it’s like no one is actually in charge.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND APTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR THEIR SERVICES.
I honestly do not normally leave reviews like this, but I am extremely upset with the way this company treated my parents.
A representative named Anthony came to my parents’ home and sold the service to my dad. My dad does not read English, so Anthony was supposed to explain and translate everything to him. He specifically told my dad that we could cancel the service at any time. He NEVER mentioned that there would be a $199 cancellation fee.
My dad was also told that the contract would be sent to my mom’s email for them to review/sign. My mom unfortunately does not check her email often, so we did not notice until later that a contract had been sent. When we finally looked at it, we discovered that the signature on the contract was NOT my dad’s signature. My dad did not sign that contract himself.
We called Aptive as soon as we realized what had happened and explained the entire situation to customer service. Instead of taking our concerns seriously, the representative basically told us that it did not matter that my dad did not personally sign the contract because they had been provided with banking information, and that if we wanted to cancel, we still had to pay the $199 fee.
That alone is completely unacceptable to me.
On top of that, the customer service representative was incredibly rude and disrespectful to my mom. During the conversation, she became frustrated and told my mom that she was just going to cancel the account. It felt like she was making that decision FOR us instead of actually listening to what my mom was saying. Then she continued asking, “So what do you want me to do?” My mom asked her, “What do you mean? Didn’t you just say you were canceling it?” and instead of answering her directly, she kept responding with more questions.
The entire conversation felt disrespectful, unprofessional, and unnecessarily hostile.
At this point, my parents decided to just pay the cancellation fee because we want absolutely nothing else to do with this company. We would rather lose the $199 than continue dealing with a company that handled the situation this way.
What makes me the most upset is that my parents trusted the person who came into their home to explain what they were agreeing to, especially knowing that my dad could not read the English contract himself. They were told one thing verbally, and then we later discovered terms we were never told about and a signature that my dad says he did not provide or authorize.
PLEASE be extremely careful before signing up with Aptive Environmental. Read every single document yourself, check your email immediately, ask about cancellation fees, and do not rely only on what the salesperson tells you verbally.
I strongly DO NOT recommend this company based on our experience. The way this situation was handled was unfair, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. I hope this review helps someone else avoid going through what my parents just went through.

The representative I worked with was very friendly and likable, but unfortunately, the information he provided about the terms of the agreement was incorrect. I am now being told that I am locked into a contract and must pay $199 to cancel.
What is most concerning is that I was never given an opportunity to read or review the terms before agreeing to them. The representative actually initialed the agreement on my behalf. I was also specifically given incorrect information about the cancellation period. When I called to cancel based on the timeframe I had been told, I learned that the actual cancellation window had already expired—apparently by just one day.
Had the terms and cancellation policy been accurately explained to me, or had I simply been given the opportunity to read the agreement before it was initialed on my behalf, I would have been able to make an informed decision. Instead, I am now being asked to pay a $199 cancellation fee because I relied on incorrect information provided by the company’s representative.
While the representative was personable, this experience has left me extremely disappointed with the company’s sales and contracting practices.

One of the worse pest control companies I have ever used in my life. They don’t show up every 6 weeks like the contract I pay for- then they don’t spray the areas I ask them to.
Always excuses- have to follow them like a toddler to try to get them to do their jobs every single time. Several different techs and they don’t have anyone local to call- it’s a call center so they can’t do anything to help.

Services rescheduled multiple times (not by request).
Cancellation fee still applies when they are not servicing your home in a timely manner.
Cancellation process requires a call in and transfer to multiple people where you have to reverify your information and they dig and dig to try and find out why you’re canceling.
The reason I’m cancelling is because you’re not holding up your end of the contract.

Why am I still seeing pests after my first treatment?
If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.
How much does professional pest control cost?
Our professional pest control plans start as low as $49 to $55 per month for our Basic plan, depending on your location. We offer three primary tiers—Basic, Pro, and Premium—designed to fit different levels of protection needs and budgets.
Do you offer same-day pest control services?
Yes, depending on current technician availability. If you call before noon, we can often provide same-day service for urgent pest issues.
How soon can a technician come out for an emergency?
We strive for 24 to 48-hour response times. For emergencies like a yellow jacket nest or indoor roach sightings, we prioritize your call in our daily schedule.
Do you spray both the inside and outside of the house?
Yes, standard service covers both. We focus on the exterior to stop pests at the source and treat the interior (baseboards/under sinks) to eliminate any that have already entered.
What areas are included in a "perimeter" treatment?
A perimeter treatment covers 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out into the yard. We also treat windowsills, door frames, and eaves.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen?
To stop ants, we use "transferable" baits. Workers carry the bait back to the queen, killing the entire colony rather than just the ants you see on the counter.
What is the best treatment for German cockroaches?
German roaches require a combination of baiting, insect growth regulators (IGRs), and sanitation. They are resilient, so 2–3 follow-up visits are often required for total elimination.
Is pest control safe for children and infants?
Yes, we prioritize family-safe applications. By focusing on the exterior and using low-toxicity indoor treatments, we minimize exposure. We recommend keeping children out of treated areas for 30–60 minutes until dry.
What is your "Pest-Free Guarantee"?
Our guarantee means if the pests return between scheduled visits, we return for free. We stay until the problem is solved.
Do you offer free re-treatments?
Yes, all of our recurring plans include unlimited free re-treatments for covered pests.
Why am I still seeing bugs after my first service?
This is the "flush out" period. The treatment is driving pests out of their hiding spots. They will die off shortly after coming into contact with the product.
Why is the pest problem getting worse?
This usually happens with ants and roaches as they are attracted to our baits. This "surge" is a sign that the colony is actively feeding on the treatment.
How can I tell if a treatment was successful?
Success is measured by a steady decrease in sightings and finding dead insects rather than live ones.
Do you guarantee 100% elimination?
We guarantee to control and manage populations to the point where they do not infest your living space. No one can stop every single bug from ever entering, but we ensure they don't stay.
