How in the world, was I allowed to order a washing machine on the website only to receive a call two days later from a Lowes associate that it's out of stock! Further stated that, this is another Lowes location contacting you. The first one didn't have it in stock and we don't EITHER! Never again Lowes. Took forever for them to void the pending charge. Home Depot from now on!

I recently purchased a John Deere zero-turn mower, and I honestly wish I had bought it somewhere else.
When I placed my order, I also purchased lights, armrests, and a tow hitch. My estimated delivery was two weeks, but that date kept getting pushed back with no explanation. When I finally called the store, I was told the delay was because they were waiting on the lights so they could install them before delivery. I asked the associate to cancel the lights and send the mower anyway.
A few days passed, and nothing changed. I canceled the lights myself online, waited another day, and still saw no update. I called again and explained that the lights had been canceled and asked them to schedule delivery. They set it for the following Wednesday between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday came and went. By 2:30, then 3:30, then 4:30 p.m., I still had no mower and no phone call. I called the store again. After spending 15 minutes fighting through the automated phone system, I was transferred to an associate and got a busy signal. I called back, went through the entire automated system again, and this time an employee answered the phone, said nothing, and simply laid it on the counter. I spent the next 10 minutes listening to employees casually talking about their day, repeatedly using profanity, before someone finally picked up the phone and acted as though they had just answered it.
That associate informed me my mower had never been sent out for delivery. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager told me she knew nothing about the situation and said she would call me back in five minutes. Instead, it took 25 minutes. When she finally called, she claimed the delivery truck had broken down and admitted no one had contacted me to let me know. She then told me the earliest they could deliver my mower would be the following Wednesday.
I explained how disappointed I was with the lack of communication, the unprofessional behavior of the employees, and the entire experience from start to finish. I also explained how what should have been a two-week delivery had now turned into nearly a month because of a set of lights. The manager then told me they don’t install accessories at the delivery center, leaving me wondering why I had been told multiple times that the lights were the reason my mower was delayed.
To make matters worse, the delivery driver later told me the mower had actually been loaded on the truck the previous Wednesday but was returned to the store because someone marked the order as canceled.
At that point, it became clear that I had been given conflicting stories—and in some cases, outright false information—from multiple employees, including the manager.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and inconsistent explanations were completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend shopping somewhere else if you expect honesty, professionalism, and reliable service.
