From start to finish, this was a very disappointing service experience.
At my seasonal activation appointment, the technician arrived, worked for some undisclosed amount of time, and then left without a word. No walkthrough, no summary, no notification that he had even finished the work. I didn't even know he was gone until I checked.
Shortly after, I received an email with a single document attached and nothing in the body to indicate any concern. Out of curiosity, I opened it and discovered, buried in a checkbox, that my backflow preventer had failed inspection. The technician who had been on my property never mentioned it.
I called the company and explained what happened. I received no apology. Instead, I was told they needed to speak with their technician and call me back. Then, a bit later, I got an automated text scheduling a follow-up appointment, telling me to block off 4 hours, with no reason given. I called again; they hadn't reached the technician and didn't know it was sent, but promised to follow up. Eventually, someone called to say the backflow preventer needed replacement, and an estimate would follow, but no explanation of the problem or offer to walk me through it. The appointment, I was told, had been sent in error.
After repeatedly raising the issue on the phone that it was unacceptable to so flippantly disregard a customer's time, provide no feedback during the service call, and leave without any communication, the customer service representative responded multiple times, "I'm sorry, good sir." So instead of an apology, it was sarcasm.
The issues here aren't catastrophic, but it is incredibly frustrating. There was poor field communication, an unexplained failed inspection, a scheduling error no one owned, phone tag to try and find help, and a dismissive close to what should have been a straightforward service call. There are many reputable irrigation providers in the St. Louis area, and I'd encourage anyone reading this to explore those options before committing here.
