  Lowe’s apparently stands behind a $549 air conditioner for 48 hours. After that, you’re on your own. I have been a Lowe’s customer for years, but this experience has completely changed how I view the company. On July 31, I purchased a $549 GE 14,000 BTU window air conditioner from Lowe’s. I bought it to replace the air conditioner in my mother's home. I installed the new unit, and initially it worked wonderfully. Approximately a week later, it completely stopped cooling. The fan still operated and the compressor was running. The unit was even showing approximately 1,280 watts of power consumption through the GE app, which was consistent with the compressor operating. However, it produced absolutely no cooling. The evaporator wasn't frozen and the condenser wasn't rejecting heat. Something had clearly failed internally. Meanwhile, my mother was sitting in an 80-degree house in August with an essentially brand-new air conditioner that had already failed. I called Lowe’s expecting what I consider an entirely reasonable solution: exchange the defective unit I had purchased only days earlier for another one. Instead, I was informed that Lowe’s has a 48-HOUR return/exchange policy on air conditioners and that I would have to pursue the issue through GE. I couldn't believe it. This wasn't an air conditioner that failed after a season or even after a month. It was essentially brand new. I contacted Lowe’s corporate customer service and explained the situation. I then went back to the Lowe’s store where I purchased it and personally spoke with the store manager. I want to make something very clear: the store manager was extremely nice and professional. I have no complaint whatsoever about how he treated me. Unfortunately, he explained that because of Lowe’s 48-hour policy, there was nothing he could do. And THAT is precisely why this review is directed at Lowe’s as a company and its policy, not the employees at this particular store. A retailer should stand behind the products it sells for a reasonable amount of time. Forty-eight hours is not a reasonable amount of time to discover whether a $549 air conditioner is defective. Think about that before purchasing an air conditioner from Lowe’s: You can spend more than $500 on a brand-new unit, install it, have it fail approximately a week later, and Lowe’s can refuse to exchange it because you made it past DAY TWO. My mother needed air conditioning. She couldn't sit in an 80-degree house while I began navigating a manufacturer's warranty process for an appliance that was essentially brand new. So I drove to Rural King, purchased another air conditioner, brought it home and installed it. Problem solved—just not by Lowe’s. I understand why retailers have return policies. I understand why manufacturer warranties exist. What I cannot accept is a retailer taking hundreds of dollars from a customer and then, 48 hours later, refusing to stand behind a defective product they just sold. If Lowe’s believes two days is an adequate amount of time to stand behind a $549 air conditioner, that's their decision. It's also my decision where I spend my money from now on. After the way Lowe’s handled this, I'll be taking considerably more of my business elsewhere. And if you're considering purchasing an air conditioner or any other appliances from Lowe’s, I strongly suggest you understand that 48-hour policy before handing them your money.   Went in to get one saw blade. Three employees to get one blade. I had to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to open a padlock while employees were walking right in front of me refusing to help. One was John and his partner. Never using this place again. Home Depot Soco is where I’ll shop

  Went today to get mulch and was kinda disappointed to see mouse dropping near all the dog stuff? Kinda weird. Staff is always friendly and willing to help when I am lost. They need more cats working full time here!! 🐱

  The cleaning lady basically trapped me in the women’s restroom this morning. When I went in to use the restroom, I chose the stall furthest from where she was cleaning out of courtesy, she huffed at me, slammed a stall door and I’m pretty sure cursed me in Spanish. When I was finished, she had blocked the exit with her cart. Her big cart, full of cleaning supplies, including brooms, mops and a big bucket of mop water. I asked her if she would move it so I could get out, she said “you move it”, I said no. I’m not touching this cart, as a safety measure, you’re welcome Lowe’s, next time I’ll take the slip n fall and roll with that instead, and because I don’t work there. She proceeded to clean the entire restroom before moving the cart, almost a full 10minutes and said “Get out of here!”…When I spoke with the manager, Brigid simply said “Hmm, I’ll see if I can speak with her about that”, no apologies, zero indication that she even thought this was a problem. Yes, I could’ve moved the cart, but I shouldn’t be expected to. I have a fractured arm and bruised ribs, but even if I was perfectly fit, I shouldn’t have to. This was ridiculous and not a good look. I’m going to Home Depot.
