I purchased a dishwasher on October 1st and had installation scheduled for the following Monday (October 5th). I was told that I would get a call or receive a text the day before, communicating the window of time that they would be there.
Monday came and went with zero communication. I called them to see what happened and they stated that the part they needed did not arrive on time for the install to happen on Monday, but no one bothered to tell me. I had to call to find that out.
They proceed to reschedule me for Friday, October 9th. Again, they were supposed to communicate the day before what time they would be out. Again, no communication whatsoever. Friday comes and nothing. I call to see what happened and no one has any answers. Lowes states that since they have had trouble with that installer, they would reschedule me with a different installer (3rd appt now) and they reschedule me for today, October 13th. They said I would get a call or text the day before with the window of time they would be out to install. AGAIN, zero communication. I get a text this morning at 6:15 am from the installer saying they would be out between 9-12, giving my wife and I little notice to arrange our day. I get a call from the installer at 8:49 a.m. (10 min before the install window) asking me if the dishwasher was already at my house. I said no. Installer says that he will have to call to see where it is at (I already see where this is going). Never hear back from the installer during the install window of 9-Noon.
I call Lowes installation to see what is going on. They say they have to call the installer to get an update. Installer customer service calls me saying that they don't have the dishwasher and will have to set a new appointment. This is appointment #4 by the way. I say no, call Lowes installation back and have them cancel the install, haul away and the dishwasher.
1) My wife and I had to take off of work for these 3 appts. Luckily we both work for companies that are flexible with our time.
2) I don't care if it is the 3rd parties fault in all of this, Lowes needs to get their process together. As a person who has spent 20+ years managing service providers, those 3rd parties represent you. Their failure is your failure Lowes, and now because of the incompetence of those 3rd parties, it has cost you a future customer.
I will be purchasing my dishwasher elsewhere now, and will be taking my future home improvement needs to Home Depot.

My door handle fell apart, so I took all the parts to Lowe’s and asked for help. Steve who may or may not be related to Santa was a great help. He explained in detail and showed me how to put it back together. All I needed was one screw to fix it. Thanks so much Lowe’s for having such a wonderful employee.
