Heads up neighbors - you may purchase a big-ticket item from Lowe's on your Lowe's credit card, but they will not respond to any delivery problems. While we were home today, the $2k double bathroom vanity below was quietly dumped on our driveway by a third-party deliver service without any notice at all (and it looks like rain). Lowe's won't remedy it and won't say how customers are supposed to know a product is coming from a third party. The unit is covered in instruction stickers but arrived double stacked and without any chance to inspect it.

Liberty Lowes. I come here about once a week for a variety of things. I always have someone ask me if I need help and if I’m being OK. And there’s a guy in the back that gives treats to my dogs! Great store. And a clean bathroom.

On Thursday, I placed an order at the South Kansas City Lowe's location for same-day delivery. It is now Sunday, and the delivery has been repeatedly rescheduled day after day.
When I contacted customer service to investigate, I was initially given conflicting information and told an item was out of stock. After I verified the item was indeed in stock, store staff admitted that Lowe's third-party delivery service is refusing to pick up the order because it includes bags of soil.
Instead of resolving the issue internally, store management informed me they could do nothing further and instructed me to contact the delivery service myself.
As a Lowe's customer, my transaction and delivery agreement is with Lowe's, not your third-party contractors. I expect Lowe's to fulfill the delivery I paid for or immediately coordinate an alternative solution.
Update: After this review and several others on different review sites (I think the BBB was the most impactful), I was contacted by several people from Lowe's and my order was delivered the next day.

Curtis, the paint supervisor, assisted me this Sunday morning and helped me construct a drain so that I could relieve water from my HVAC system after heavy rains and a condensation gathering problem. When I went into the store, I asked Curtis to help me and I noticed he was obviously happy to help write from the start. It made me feel like we were going to find a good solution and we did. He listened carefully to my issues with a water problem, and carefully diagnosed what I would need and helped me figure out an economical way of getting it done. He was patient and kind and willing to listen and knew where everything was at so we were able to save quite a bit of time. His product knowledge was outstanding and we went from Plumbing to HVAC to garden hoses outside. I never would’ve known it was a Sunday morning when most people might not want to be working because I was take. care of like family to be honest. Thank you so much, Curtis.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
