We were very excited to work with Poynter for our landscaping project! Bob came out to our house three times to look at the space and go over the plans with us. Unfortunately when it came time to make some changes and finalize the plans we were completely ghosted. Over the past 5-6 weeks I’ve emailed twice and have called twice to leave messages and nothing has been returned. I understand it’s a busy time and it was communicated that our project isn’t urgent, but even a “hey I’m busy I’ll get back to you in a couple of weeks” would’ve been appreciated. We won’t be moving forward with our project with poynter.

I’m genuinely excited to give a quick shoutout to a company that specifically asked me not to. In fact, the owner of this landscaping organization reached out and said it best: "We don’t do these things for recognition—we do them because it’s the right thing to do, and we prefer to do them quietly." But some things deserve to be said anyway. My brother-in-law is currently deployed, fighting for our country, leaving my sister at home with three young kids. Anyone who’s lived that reality knows—there’s a lot to carry when a spouse is away like that. My dad, my brothers, and I have done what we can to help, but there were some major projects that required more than just effort—clearing trees, tackling massive overgrowth that had taken over a large part of the yard… the kind of work that needs real equipment and time. That’s where Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction stepped in. Not only did they completely clear the property—giving the kids space to actually play again—but they’ve continued to show up. Regularly. Quietly. Cutting the grass, fixing the fence, clearing gutters… just taking care of things without ever being asked. No spotlight. No announcement. No expectation of anything in return. They simply saw a need—and acted. I actually had to pull strings just to get their name, because they never mentioned it to anyone. This is what doing the right thing looks like. This is what makes this country great. Let’s spend less time feeding negativity online—and more time recognizing that there are truly good people out there, doing meaningful things when no one is watching. Grateful for people like this. Truly. Thank you Bob Wilhelm and the Poynter team, keep up the best work.

I appreciated the promptness, professionalism and patience experienced with Poytner. Plans for the space changed more than once and Josh was comfortable and accommodatingly flexible in listening to and mapping out my ideas. Recommendations on plants selection and follow-up with walk throughs and on going care is appreciated.

I needed another means of egress down to the street other than our steep driveway and decided to put some natural looking steps into our front hill to access the sidewalk. I am very pleased with the results of the project (see before and after photos) and highly recommend Poynter if you're looking at a landscaping project. Their work crew was great!!
