My wife Paula and I have enjoyed every step of the process with Matt. From our initial concept conversations/meeting, to picking out the slabs, followed with a mid-production shop visit to the grand finale'- the delivery - we have enjoyed working with him very much. He has a great eye for matching the right material for the setting and the ability to visualize the finished product as we described it. To call him a woodworker seems to fall short of his artistic vision and skill. We are a small business and work with many small businesses as clients. If you expect a cookie cutter product with strict production schedules, you may get frustrated. Our biggest ask was was for a unique piece that helps tell our story, built with unmatched craftsmanship and care. Matt absolutely delivered!! Thanks Matt, Keep up the great work!!! Eric & Paula

My pictures can’t begin to capture the pure beauty and craftsmanship this 12’ table brings to the cabin! You have to touch it and admire it in person. Matt took time to share how the different markings in the wood were made, which as a novice, I wouldn’t have recognized, but now I can share with my grandchildren. I wanted a generational piece, and we definitely got it! Professional through and through! Highly recommended!

The experience with Ruben Custom Sawmill & Woodworks was great. Communication, timing of project, and product quality were all top notch. We had 2 black walnut waterfall end tables made, and they are absolutely stunning. Will definitely reach out for further business. Highly recommend Matt Ruben. Thank you so much!!
